I hardly ever share reviews but this salon and Leonard deeply deserve this. I’ve come to Leonard on and off for over 10 years and there’s a reason why I always come back. He is the best. Best cut, best service. My partner also gets the best haircuts. I always leave feeling like the style, cut and colour matches exactly what we talked about (and he always takes the time to find out what you want so you leave not just satisfied but ecstatic). If you are looking for a hairdresser who is a complete professional, someone you can trust and enjoy some great banter with…you’ve found your guy/place.

I have been having my hair cut and coloured by Leonard and his team for around 10 years. I started going to Leonard because of a recommendation and I have never regretted it. My hair has never looked better and I regularly receive compliments about the style and colour. Leonard always take time to discuss my style and colour at each visit to ensure we are on the same page about what I am looking for. This is the same approach I have seen him adopt with other customers. It has always been clear to me that Leonard's first priority is that each customer leaves his salon satisfied. What's more Leonard is a great guy and I always enjoy our conversations. My husband also has his hair cut by Leonard and he feels the same way. My husband's work colleague has been having her hair done by Leonard for over 20 years and she always speaks very highly of him.I therefore feel compelled to address the recent negative review posted by Karin". So foreign was her alleged experience to my own and what I have observed

Leonard and his team are THE BEST. I have been going to DMJ for as long as it's been open and every cut and colour is exactly right. Every. Single. Time. Over the years my style and colour has changed - always with the best advice and it always works. Highly recommended. I'd give 10 Stars if I could.

I have been coming here for 5 years getting cuts with Leonard. The last few times he has done the opposite to what I have requested regarding the length to be cut and the shape. I now have an edgy hipster haircut, when I asked for something very soft.But honestly, apart from the hair cut, I feel more appalled by how downhill the customer service has gone, I paid $200 for a trim!!! And I did not even receive a head massage when my hair was being washed, nor did I get asked if I would like even a glass of tap water let alone a cup of tea or coffee.I honestly have never felt so ripped off and under appreciated as a long time client, and feel so upset with the state of my hair.I have come back three times hoping it was a bad day after the initial bad experiences but it’s definitely time to find a new salon, one that appreciates loyalty and listens to what I want with regards to cut and style, and a glass of water would be a step up too!

Love my new haircut by Leonard! I’m a new client and wanted to try out a new style. Leonard heard me out and took the time to understand what I wanted and ensured I was left a happy client. I felt I could be open to him and communicate what works for me. Now my haircut is growing out really nicely and I’ll be going back for a fringe trim and thinking of the next cool cut I’ll get from him!

Leonard is the fringe master. He know's exactly how to achieve a fresh, cool look. Leonard and the salon are friendly and raw.I'm still obsessed with my new look and looking forward to the next time I get to see Leonard.

I have had countless hairdressers in Sydney and Leonard is one of the best. He’s everything you want a hairdresser to be - listens, clearly explains, and doesn’t proceed until you’re both clear on the cut. His attention to detail is superb! He has a fabulous team and I feel very lucky that I have found a hairdresser I can trust!
