Super professional and knowledgeable for my performance vehicle Jeep grand cherokee SRT . Would not go anywhere else.

Took it for a pre car purchase inspection. Said they were busy for a show but could take a look . All i got was a $165 bill saying pre inspection check. No nothing on issues or brakes that i had asked them to look at. Took it to midas for a second opinion. They told me all the good add on bits and upgrades that were done to the car and actually looked at an area of the car i was concerned about. The rotors and brakes. Showed me what should be done and at a reasonable price.Dontex, i tried again and took it for service, was quoted $350. Ended up being a $1000.Had a friend look at the invoice and they advised most of the basic off the shelf items, i was being charged a lot more than what i could get off the shelf . I rang Dontex about it and was told someone would call me back. They never did. I left a Facebook post about the issue and Lee, the alleged owner, went on about about his comparable pricing service and expertise. If i didn't like their service to go elsewhere. Tried again to ask if i could buy my own parts and use their Expertise" Lee said he doesnt want my business and go elsewhere...Guess truth hurts and maybe i was correct.. and they do charge people over..."

After purchasing my Jeep SRT I did some research on where to go to get work done on it. Dontex kept popping up in groups and forums so that's where I went. I have absolutely no regrets as Lee and his team made me feel like a friend rather than a customer from the first time I showed up. He gives honest opinions and advice and doesn't push you to make purchases if he doesn't feel it's worth it. The service from his team is always top notch from drop off to pick up. Whether you're getting an oil change or an engine replacement, your car will be cleaned and washed before pickup, and you'll be treated like family. I will not take my SRT anywhere else.

Just want to extend my thanks to Lee and the Dontex team. Had dramas with the tune on my Jeep SRT here in WA. After some back and forth I sent Lee my PCM in the post and he managed to fix the issues I had without the physical car. Thanks again for an easy and honest service.

DO NOT waste your money or time.After back and fourth emails with lee the apparent owner, has decided he won’t tune my car unless I buy the 20k worth of injectors he’s just landed, I’m trying to save money where i can like everyone else, Which isn’t a problem I wouldn’t think.His attitude when things don’t go his way is appalling as a business owner.Do your research and look at the reviews before you send it to these rip offs.Enjoy the review lee x

Highly recommend Dontex Performance for your hemi modifications and tuning regardless of where you’re located. Sent my Jeep Trackhawk down to Dontex for the DP900 package from QLD. I later modified and had my Ram TRX tuned by Lee remotely. Never met Lee in person but he has always been there for me and has been really helpful and professional. I will be back for more in the future.

If I could leave less than one star, I would.Not just abhorrent customer service, with an egotistical, arrogant, and obnoxious owner, but the quality of work is below sub standard. If you value your car in any way, do not use dontex automotive.And if you do call to complain, no responsibility will be taken on Lee's part. You will however receive excuses, and abusive phonecalls and messages, blaming anyone and everyone for any damage that was caused by them.Reputation is everything in business.The horrendous reputation that dontex and Lee has, is well earned.I hope no one ever gets treated the way my partner was treated by Lee.
