After waiting over a month for someone to come out to quote a received a call yesterday saying someone would come out to quote the job.After explaining we were looking for a linen cupboard and master wardrobe fit out I was advised that kinsman had a minimum quotation price of $4000.When I asked how there could be a minimum job price without even seeing the job I was told that's how they work... Needless to say I cancelled the appointment. I was willing to spend 3x that price however found it very unprofessional to be told there was a minimum job price. I will proceed with a more professional company.

Some previous reviewers commented that they were told a “minimum $4000 quote” for the premium range but Kinsman insists that this is not the case. However, I had the same experience. I was told by the sales person that minimum quote is $4000. She couldn’t even explain what she meant by it. How can she set a minimum price when she doesn’t even know what I wanted a quote for?

Distraught with my wardrobe. Very disappointed with the workmanship. Overpriced for a flatpack wardrobe. Kinsman I am still waiting for my wardrobe to be fixed. I've called countless times with no results.

My initial experience with Kinsman was positive - they scheduled a design session quickly and the designer was helpful in providing an initial design of the kitchen. They session was on the last day of the month and I was offered 25% off the cabinetry price if we signed up there and then. We agreed to do so.Unfortunately after signing, three things became apparent:- The company regularly offers 25% discount off their cabinetry. This is not a special deal, the next month they offered the exact same discount as I was regularly reminded through their ads on Instagram. This month they are offering something else. If you are going to go with this company. just wait for a month where they're offering the 25% discount. If I had known they would do this I would never have signed the contract on the day, a very disingenuous practice.- The choice of colours for their cabinetry is very limited. They will claim to be partnered with Polytec so you would assume their entire range is available. However they only offer a limited range within Polytec's selection. Again, if you do go with this company, ask them to provide their range of colours BEFORE you agree to the contract so you know your colour choices are even available.- While initially very responsive, our designer became very slow to respond after we signed our contract with changes and updates. Changes requested were not implemented correctly. I think they had some personal issues which I absolutely sympathise with but the company should have taken the job from them and assigned it to somebody else, which they never did. I wasted a month requesting changes then waiting for a response before finally giving up and exiting my contract.When I exited my contract I was out of pocket by $800 due to a clause in the contract that states they will retain $800 of the deposit should the customer decide to exit. They never even bothered to return my money, no communication at all so I had to request a charge back from my credit card provider to get my money.I have moved to another designer and made more progress in a week than I had with Kinsman in a month. I would advise to steer well clear.

Happy to join the queue of one star reviews. Purchased new kitchen 3 years ago (after lenghty delays) and looking for small amendments to retro-fit a dishwasher. After paying, advised 2-3 weeks maximum delivery time then after 6 weeks, nothing. Keep following up and same excuses. Avoid. Customer does the work, then waits. Bloody frustrating.

Wow.What a shocking experience we had with Kinsman. I am surprised this business is still operating.Project was delayed by 4 months by them due to sending the wrong products, or not sending products at all. They also just stopped responding for 2 months.NO communication. Rude.VERY poor quality products. Ikea stuff is better.I honestly have not a single positive thing to say about these guys.Even when I complained they dodged my calls and didn't care.Do yourself a favour and avoid these guys like the plague.They put on a good show on the block but don't put in the effort with their paying customers.

I'm a builder but needed a couple of flatpack kitchen modules for our holiday shack - probably a couple of grands worth. Kinsman are local so dropped in - to be told that unless I was purchasing a minimum of $4-5K, they weren't interested. Astounding! Nice work if you can get it eh!? Needless to say - crossed Kinsman off the list for any future work. Definitely not recommended.Further comments:With respect to the business's response below - the sales person was clear that I was supplying my own benchtops, so I find Kinsman's explanation unlikely. More probably, my experience mirrored that of another reviewer here, who reported an almost identical experience. Not impressed!
