Avis Car & Truck Rental Ayers Rock Airport

The lady at the front desk was rather rude and left bad taste in our mouth right after landing at the airport. We’d understand if we were not eligible for whatever reason to rent a car, but the attitude was just not on.

A huge thank you to Fran who was so very helpful when we picked up our hire car from Avis at Ayres Rock airport. Great advice regarding some things to do and places to go in the area. All done with a smile. Fantastic service. Thanks again Fran. The Millard’s

Hired a people mover for our family trip to Uluru from Avis. From the very first experience with Fran I received excellent customer service. This lady is so professional and caring - had to change my booking over the time and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this service, particularly with an excellent customer service representative like Fran in charge.

Worst experience at Avis. Due to an illness we couldn‘t flight and wanted to pick up the car one day later. Via our booking partner they said it‘s not possible, they would have no car and they cancelled the rental agreement. Really one of the most frustrating experiences! Not tolarable at all.

Fran went above and beyond her responsibilities to overcome our hotel to airport transportation dilemma to pick up the rental car when shuttles were cancelled due to flight changes. She is highly commended for her customer service.

We booked our car online through expedia so the rate was great..under 50 dollars for the day but the service at the airport counter provided by Francis was fantastic. She was very pleasant,helpful and answered all my questions. When we visited the next day for our line departure I went to ask Frances some more questions regarding the charges and again she was most helpful and clarifed my concerns. This woman has great customer service skills and even went out to clean the car herself before giving us the keys.Thank you!!!

The front desk staff told us that Alice Springs (which was on our itinerary) was very dangerous due to sky-rocketing crime rates, how multiple car windows had been smashed by delinquents, how some people had been mugged. She showed us a news article about the mayor asking the federal government to send in federal police or the army. She basically scared us into buying their highest insurance policy (we’re from a country were civil unrest, riots, and street crimes happen, so we don’t get alarmed by these stuff easily. So that tells you how scaremongering she was). When we got to Alice Springs, we did not have any issues or felt threatened at any point in time. How can these upselling practices be allowed?!

Fran gave us exceptional service over the last 2 years we have been trying to get to Uluru. What a pleasant experience to deal with someone that actually cares for the customer.I have no hesitation in recommending Avis for great cars as well as exceptional staff.

Incredibly slow and inefficient. Only one staff member moving at snail pace to process an entire plane arrival. Would have saved 45minutes of my life had I booked with Hertz. Alternatively driving from Brisbane would have been quicker.
