Does the wearable art maker sleep with the Gallery CEO? No other reason for it to have so much gallery space.Upstairs had some very interesting pieces & the Ikebana exhibit, though small, was lovely.

I had a wander in and felt I could relax as at the time I was the only visitor. Ladies at service desk were lovely. I felt welcomed and that I could fully enjoy my time away from the summer heat. I enjoyed laying in the igloo and later brought back some friends to have a look at some of the pieces. There are some beautifully delicate and decadent older pieces upstairs and intriguing modern pieces downstairs. The only disappointment was lack of any oriental pieces as I would have liked to see some.

When I visited the Toowoomba Regiinal Art Gallery it featured a range of contemporary and historical exhibitions that were well curated and presented. I enjoyed reading the interpretive materials with the artworks. It is well worth a visit while in Toowoomba.

The art gallery hasn't changed much since we were last there 2 years ago, much of what was on display in the 1st floor gallery space hadn't changed . The current Patricia Piccinini exhibition Curious Affection on the ground floor was interesting but limited by space. We would have loved to see more. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and were genuinely enthusiastic about the gallery. It an interesting place to wile away some free time.
