Old Apple Shed @ Northway Downs Estate

We attended the old Apple shed as a couple, and not part of a tour group.The cider was amazing - we tried the apple and the passionfruit and really enjoyed how refreshing they were on a hot afternoon!The food was fantastic - once it arrived. We arrived around 1230pm on a Sunday, and it was moderately busy (would say about half-ish capacity from a look through). We were told to order from the bar as they weren't taking any orders from tables. As soon as we ordered two busloads of people arrived, so that may have had something to do with the delays.The food took 2 hours to arrive - the poor wait staff were run off their feet and seemed exhausted. The grazing platter, chips and the Apple cider sausage were awesome - the prawn and scallop pasta was ok, a bit too greasy for my liking.Recommend visiting for drinks only on the weekend, at least until they hire more cooks!

Lovely staff, excellent platter, stunningly beautiful property and of course great ciders. We took a mixed box home too and I'm sure will be back again

I have always enjoyed my visits to this fabulous venue and Kate and her staff could not be more obliging. Their food and drinks are wonderful . This morning when I was listing my mosaic table for sale I could not think of a better way of staging it than with a bottle of The Old Apple Shed’s superb Premium Cuvée

We had lunch at The Old Apple Shed today at the new venue in Balnarring. KATE is back and so are some of her previous staff.. Although the menu was small it is being extended, the variety was great and of the same quality we had come to expect. The venue is beautiful and you overlook the vines and extensive gardens and pond while you eat. One of the best things is the fact that our fur friends were still very welcome. I do suggest that you go visit KATES The Old Apple Shed so that you can see for yourselves what we have all missed since earlier this year.

My partner and I stopped in for lunch whilst on a break on the beautiful Peninsula. We were greeted promptly upon entry and were advised that there had been an event the evening before which affected the cleanliness and layout. I did notice that only one staff member was wearing a mask indoors. We were given many options for where we'd like to sit. The musician playing inside was quite loud (his mic and amp) which made it difficult to hear and communicate. We decided to sit outdoors under the trees. I'm not sure what made this particular place known as the 'Old Apple Shed' and expected the food and drink to reflect this a bit more. We ordered an Apple Shed Pork Burger and the steak. The food was quite satisfactory - it was fresh and fairly tasty but not mind-blowing and the pulled pork burger was a bit too rich and decadent for me. We then had the opportunity to visit the grape vines at the back of the property which was quite lovely. Thank you for having us!

Great venue, awesome ciders and tastings. Beautiful surroundings, live music, yum food and a super host in Kate and her crew. Will certainly be back.

Came across this gem. Staff and owner are so lovely. We did lots of tastings then sat and had a platter and left with a slab. What more can a girl ask for on date night. Definitely will be coming back for a meal and live music. Every wine and cider was delicious. Passion fruit, apple chai and strawberry among the best ciders ever.

My family feasted on the impressive range of ciders and wine from this beautiful place all Christmas! Kate is delightful and her products truly delicious and unique!
