Wombat Forest Country Retreat
Looking for a refreshing few days in the country we found the Wombat Forest Retreat, What a surprise to find a very spaciously laid out accommodation with good quality furnishings and all equipment needed. A full glass wall and sliding door to the dining area provided great views across garden, farmland, trees and hills. So tranquil and relaxing.Above all, our two hosts were never intrusive but welcoming, approachable and pleasant. We would certainly be happy to stay again.

Accommodation was clean, comfortable, warm, well equipped kitchen and fantastic country views. David was helpful and provided lots of suggestions. Good base for day trips. Ideal for relaxing and unwinding.

Wombat Forest Country Retreat
This accomodation was very neat, tidy, clean & spacious. It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I can't think of anything that could be improved on. The house is in a lovely peaceful area, with no road noise at all. David could not have been more friendly or helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wow what tf can I say? Such a beautiful stay at wombat retreat. Perfect setting for a country getaway, regardless of the season. David and Sibastian were the kindest hosts and their farm was breathtaking. They grow their own mushrooms which are bloody delicious. Wanna know more? See it for yourself xx

Wombat Forest Country Retreat
Our stay at the retreat was so much needed. The peaceful setting, no external notices, just the peace and quiet of the bush was simply delicious. Our accomodation was super comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. David and Sibastian were perfect hosts, there to answer questions but not intrusive. Their market garden was a delight and we were so happy to have a veggie box to take home. All the best for your future endeavours. Judy and Warren.

Wombat Forest Country Retreat
We enjoyed an 8 day stay relaxing to the sounds of Kookaburras, frogs and birds. The bed was super comfortable, a well maintained and very clean kitchen with a comfortable sitting area to relax after walking around the picturesque property checking out the Lily Pond, Veggie garden, chook and duck enclosures. So much to see locally...wineries, markets, short drive to Daylesford, Hepburn, Woodend, Castlemaine, Ballarat even Bendigo is just down the road. I would very highly recommend Wombat Forest Country Retreat...even after 8 days we did not want to go home....we will be back.
