Called icon at 1pm to inform them of a sewage leak on my property. Was completely dismissed by the customer service person and said it’s not their problem. Manage to get a plumber out who verified in fact it is an icon water problem. 8 hours later, I still have sewage running through and into my garage.

Scheduled work was carried out on my apartment complex resulting in discoloured and foul smelling water coming from the taps. Two phone calls later and twice I was told someone would contact me. Five days later, nothing has happened.Appalling service. Icon Water are overdue to be replaced my a capable group.

We had a water leak that was reported by a neighbour as we were at work and oblivious to the issue. By the time I came home Icon were on the scene. I can not speak highly enough of Emily and the team ( sorry guys I didn’t get all your names) who were onsite for over 5 hours. Yes, the water was off for a while in the street, yes we unfortunately lost a lot of water, yes the front garden was dug up ( and fixed back up)and yes the water probably ran murky for all involved for a while after... but all of this needed to happen in order to fix the burst pipe. It’s an emergency situation. Responsive not planned! These teams work tirelessly day and night for us and they should be recognised.

I am building the house at Evatt. The problem is that we could not link the water due to having a difficulty to find water pipes and water meter. they said it would be around the tree. Icon water said they are going to have a look three weeks ago and agree to fix and install new one. But nothing happened for three weeks. Very disappointed. Very poor customer service. If we can not move into the new house in time, I am willing to this issue further to ask Icon water to pay the extra bills. Icon water said Fixing leaking water is house owner's responsibility in response below, Icon water has a responsibility to provide clean water to people in Canberra.

From a health and sanitation point of view, Icon water has exceptional service that can’t be beaten. Having worked in the plumbing industry all over Australia I can confidently say that these guys have the quickest response times to attend to surcharging sewer drains. Keep up the great work.

As Barry G said, you have to give at least one star in order to write a review! In my experience Icon Water as a Publicly Owned company operates under what must be a mix of the worst attributes of a profit seeking entity that wants to screw it captive customers for $150m a year and ex-Public Servants who would be barley capable of getting a job in a real Private Sector organisation.I agree with the comments also made about the tradeis that work for Icon, I have often seen them knee deep in mud fixing problems in the pouring rain. That part of the company probably deserves more than 5 stars.Unfortunately the Tradies are seriously let down by the management and bureaucracy that suck the life out of the organisation and its reputation with its Customers. We as Canberans OWN Icon Water. We have helped build the business from its beginning as the Water Authority , through the ACTEW days to what we now have. A behemoth of an organisation that just wants your money and will crush anyone who gets between their Executive Bonuses and ACT Government Dividends. These Turkeys have spent thousands of dollars with Sydney Lawyers trying to get an $1,200 bill paid. They have been chasing a phantom, even though I have told them that I was responsible for the debt and made arrangements to pay it. The staff agree that this has happened, they have an audio recording of the telephone conversation where I made arrangements with a rather helpful, (yes; you can find them!) Chap that answered the enquiry phone.Despit this, they still proceeded to take a non-existent entity to court. I reconnected with Icon's administration who said, tough luck

Humble Court repairs. Contractors that filled in the 3 pits on Friday 18 Dec should be ashamed of themselves. Not only have they left the area unsafe and un-usable they had the nerve to use the builders rubble from across the road. The owners of the house most effected are elderly and not in a position to repair the damage themselves. Would hate to think how much it would cost to have someone to have to do it for them. How would the contractors feel if it was their homes front verge left like this.

I reported a fault to Icon, to which they just said is wasn't their responsibility. I asked for any details they could share so my plumber could receive some initial information. Icon said they'd provide details, but never did. I asked them again, stating that my plumber was coming later that day, Icon said they'd help, they never did. 3 days later once the fault is fixed, I get a call with the barest of information from an unintelligible person. The service was hopeless and unprofessional.

Will go to another supplier in a heart beat if others are available in Canberra. Pity there isn't a 0 star selction. Icon has an ACAT court order to remove interests that should not have been charged to the account and they have just ignored it for the last 2 years - still compounding to-date. The cost of them hiring a lawyer is way more expansive then the interest they wanted to charge.

The workers came and opened up the SV vault (was there with no problem for years) along Condell Street in Belconnen. After they left, there were water leaking. Out of concern of public hazard I reported three times. First customer service officer was polite and the workers came and tried to rectify the fault within half an hour. After they left, it was still leaking. I rang the second and third times, the CSO were rude and put me on hold for at least 10 minutes and still going. It was still leaking as of now as I was writing. Why even bother to report as a public member.
