My family purchased an apartment at Chester & Ella in Newstead QLD in December. We were pleased with the quality of the apartment and amenity the building provides our tenants, which allowed us to generate good rental returns on our purchase. Similar experience to other reviewers. Bought an apartment at Trentwood off the plan. Show apartment was great, reality very different. The apartments were sold as high end however they cut corners wherever they could. Dealing with defects was poor; lots of buck passing, not responding etc etc. Avoid!

We bought an off-plan apartment with this developer. They provide a quality product however the customer service is poor. No negotiations on purchase contract terms which favour them and they were not fully prepared when tenants moved in and kept going into the apartment on various days for small jobs e.g. fixing paint, fixtures and just checking on things which was an inconvenience as days/times were non-negotiable. Also Kokoda was not responsive to our calls/emails when we had questions but demanded our response when they needed something from us. Also they pushed for settlement during the Christmas to New Year break and made everyone change their solicitors in preparation threatening penalty interest if they did not receive settlement in time and we were unable to plan a holiday. After all of that they delayed settlement without notification to late January. Not a pleasant purchasing experience but very happy with the physical apartment itself.

Had the opportunity to camp into the Leo Apartments, by Kokoda while the tenants were changing over. The development is in a great location perfect for commuters to the city or the local student population, in fact the apartment is perfect student accommodation.Some pros about this development.Nice and bright, lots of lightingApartment colour palette is light and neutral tones, as the brochure says, danish/scandinavian styleDucting the kitchen rangehood to the outside is a great featureSlimeline lighting and power wall plates are great but damage easiliyGood provisioning of bicycle racksSome consLong hallways on the floor plates, not as band as other developments but just perpetuates noiseMisplaced cheap kitchen cabinetry kind of ruined the apartment and functionality of the kitchenRefuse/garbage room need more ventiallation, each time I enter, I feel like dry reachingSales person quoted the body corporate fees, in reality its over 30% of what he saidSales person mentioned that the units would have a thicker glass to assist noise insulation, glass installed is just standard. (thicker glass wont help with thermal insulation but helps a bit with noise)Normally when purchasing off the plan, interest accrued on the deposit is distributed back to the purchaser as agreed with the sales person, nothing of the sought with this developerIn short its and above average apartments with some design flaws however with this developer make sure everything that they say is written into the inclusions otherwise it's your word against theirs.

Do not purchase property from them.They would change and hide information on the contract and use the 1st year POA to vote on motions for the body corporate to pay them back for facilities such as gym and audio visual equipments! As purchasers you are promised high quality facilities and then would need to pay them both the premium price AND again the fees for the facilities after settlement from body corporate levy.After doing this to a scheme they stacked the committee with their staff to pass any motion beneficial for them in order to ignore any questions asked.Incredibly enraging conduct!
