Damian is an exceptional dog trainer, I couldn't recommend him more and the wider team at K9Lifestyle. The best thing about K9Lifestyle is the focus of teaching the owners. Damian teaches either 1:1 or in a group environment the different techniques on how to best train your dog for your individual lifestyle. He gives you all the tools so that you can work through your pup related goals. He is attentive and works close with the owner to make sure they have the skill correct and then kindly coaches the owner through the sessions to make sure the skill is mastered. It is truly Damian and K9Lifestyle that I have to thank. He helped me - help my dog transform. I now have the tools to feel confident in training my dog with less stress and anxiety, and you can too! Damien is great. Our dog loves spending time with him and his wife Shell. We have used K9 lifestyle for 7 years now and couldn’t recommend them enough. The kindest, most beautiful couple who really love and understand dogs.

Damien is an an amazing dog trainer. Well more of a dog whisperer. He has helped to train my staffy and bulldog and calm their anxietys. His common sense approach to training and behavioral modification works so well and is easy to follow.... My Staffy went to his dog training classes and we had a few in home visits to help set up boundrys for both the pups.... Also when I go away I leave my pups with Damien and his wife Shelly. They both put so much effort into looking after the pups and they always come back a little better behaved.

Damian is amazing with fantastic techniques and fast results. Couldn't recommend him more highly. We had a private session with Damian and have just committed to his group training sessions.

Damian & Shell are very warm &friendly Furry Friend lovers. 6mth old Ned showed vast improvement at his 1st class.

Fantastic structured training that has been fun and engaging. Even as experienced multi dog owners looking to build exposure and confidence for a new pup, these classes were very helpful and have improved the behaviour of all the dogs in the household.

I will never know exactly whether this was a major contributor but it really feels that way and I need to share my experience with Damien. My 9 mth kelpie was chasing cars as they passed so I went to Damien to help this. Whilst it did stop the behaviour for a little while, the methods he used made my dog extremely distressed and appeared to transfer his anxiousness onto dogs and some people. I had never had an issue with my dog being aggressive, but a week or so after seeing Damien he became reactive with some dogs and sometimes certain people. It has been over a year of training now with other more positive trainers and a lot of stress and regret on my part for sending him to Damien initially . Some dogs may benefit from his training but from my experience, an anxious dog does not take well to his owner pinching him until he yelps and it didn’t feel right from the start. I had heard such great things from people in Torquay and didn’t look into what methods he used. I also remember on our training day another dog who had been through sessions walking backwards with tail between his legs when he saw Damien. I understand some dogs may respond to his training the way they are meant to but I feel strongly that my dog would have been much better without and from research and other trainers insight I feel the need to share with others.

I cannot recommend Damian highly enough. His communication and explanation about dogs behaviours was so helpful to me, and I have noticed an instant change in my pup after initiating this training. He left me with tools to work with and I was provided with very helpful information post consultation to support me with the training ahead. I am so grateful for Damian’s expertise and very excited to keep applying this while training my pup. Such a valuable and instantly rewarding consult. Thank you!

So grateful to have worked with Damian to get my dogs and myself with structure in our lives.Damian is so calm, clear and concise on what to do and who to be, to get the harmony we needed in our home with our dogs. He is so in tune with everything and each one of us. Damian is an excellent communicator and instructor. He clearly explains the principals of what he is trying to teach, so we have benefited a lot from his knowledge. Pup school has been great for our young girl, great socialising and opportunities for training around other dogs that you rarely get in other contexts. Highly recommended.
