Dude makes a mean Margarita and VERY impressed by fresh made desserts on a Sunday night, incl. the sticky date pudding. Inspirational.

Sesame's On The Lake
We have dined at Seasame's on 2 occasions, both occasions the food has been on par with the better Thai restuaurants in & around Newcastle. The reason there is 3 & not 4 stars on my review is this time our Twice cooked duck was dry & the Scollops for our entree did not need to be doused in sauce. Scollops of that size should be enjoyed with very little accompanying them. The 2nd reason is we both left still hungry for a $130++ meal with no drinks, that was a little disappointing. This has definitely not deterred us from Seasame's will be back.

Better than expected. Pork belly was delicious. Chicken basil stir fry was average. Coconut rice was flavoursome though a bit mushy. Cosy place

Some of the nicest Thai food my partner and I have had. Ordered the massaman beef curry and basil and chilli stir fry along with some cocktails- food was fresh and full of flavour, yummy drinks, left feeling very impressed! Nice service and view of the water from outside, would recommend.

3 stars for the taste. Shame the entree main and rice didn’t go far at feeding 2 people. Ordered Penang chicken and got limited chicken with a couple pieces of mushroom and nothing else. Slightly disappointed. Tasted pretty good

Salt and Pepper Vegetables is a must try.Disappointing Chicken Pad Thai which was very salty, had far too much Chicken in it, no lemon wedge and very little sauce.Service was friendly, professional, and unobtrusive. Service times were a little slow, but it was to be expected as the restaurant was half full.Will definitely be back.

Passing through Belmont I ordered Coconut Rice and Beef stirfry.The rice only had a hint of coconut and the stirfry was bearly 3/4 full.Very disappointing.I only choose because of reviews maybe the restaurant is only good for eat in

Staying in the area, and Sesame on the lake appealed to us. My main which was an entre sized spicey prawn with chilli jam and rice was amazing. Hubby loved his Sicilian seafood, but unfortunately I wasn't a big fan. We usually go for a Brule, but thought Thai...Brule just didn't fit well, so opted for the sticky rice with coconut icecream. My husband isn't a big fan of rice, but we both loved it so much, that I won the right to lick the plate. A lovely experience....thankyou.

Finally!!!! A hidden gem with sophistication, class , flavoursome delicate Asian food inspired menu that delivers more than expected. Homemade, fresh, good quality authentic fusion Asian food at very very reasonable prices for the professional and friendly service Beautiful in good taste Decor and ambience instantly transforms you to Asia and the atmosphere is quiet, relaxed , comfortable , welcoming and CLEAN! Excellent short menu executed originally and cooked and presented perfectly. Very refreshing and exciting. We have been visiting the Lake for almost 30 years and have resorted to catering for ourselves due to the disappointment of restaurant after restaurant in the area (yes and even those that claim to be fine dining and have award winning chefs!) due to lack of professionalism , presentation, quality or price. And sometimes you want more than just pub , club or counter food which are abundant in this area . The only thing (and not fair to say as they were perfectly homemade! ) was would of loved more Asian style dessert options. (Banana pancake roti would have been a great treat) . However it is understandable as Asian desserts can be an acquired taste. All in all we were very excited to find this little hidden gem and will be back . Don’t expect your local Thai restaurant menu type food!! It’s more than that! Well done owners for your achievements and thank you for your hard work.
