Amazing staff, beautiful surroundings, picnic benches under the gum trees. The food is incredible !! The best smoked meat platter we've ever had. Don't stop anywhere else, this place is perfect. Can't recommend highly enough.

Coolongolook Smoke House
If you are travelling between Sydney and Brisbane and are looking for a great cafe to 'stop, revive and survive', this is a terrific spot. There is a lovely garden where you can sit under an umbrella and take a deep breath. The coffee is excellent. The service is great. I think the Mexican pie was the best 'commercial pie' I've ever eaten in Australia. The carrot cake was delicious. Plus, they are dog friendly. So, if you want to avoid Road Houses and McAnything, I suggest you stop here on your travels north or south. Five stars from me. Five stars from Sidney the Woofer.

Best pie and sausage roll between Sydney and Bellingen, great coffee too. I stop here every time I drive through. As I was leaving they pulled the pork belly out of the smoker. Service with a huge smile! See you next time I drive through!

The pies tasted pretty good, unfortunately I found a piece of plastic cooked into mine at first bite. Coffees had an odd flavour not sure how they make them.

Excellent place. It's a smoke house but as well as smoked meats, you can get the usual breakfast and lunch cafe meals. We'll worth a stop. Easy to access with parking out the back.

Coolongolook Smoke House
After seeing the opening of the smoke house we decided to travel to Coolongolook to try the delicious food we had been seeing. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff who introduced themselves to us as Russell, Robyn and Jen all 3 were very kind and welcoming to me and my family. The food was to die for and the atmosphere was so chilled. It was definitely well worth the 3 hour round trip. We will definitely be making another trip or popping in on our way through.

Best American bbq on the mid north coast. Skip the cherry pie and treat yourself to a delicious pork or beef roll. Cooked with love and passion. Relaxed vibe with outdoor seating. Take a deserved break from driving and enjoy a chilled out lunch. Toilets available onsite.

What a great little find when we stopped for fuel at Coolonglook! A warm welcome, delicious coffee, and a bacon and egg roll that really hit the spot. A dog friendly covered area with tables and chairs to enjoy your food in comfort too. So much better than a gas station coffee and plastic wrapped food! Thank you!
