The Blind Baker

Dad absolutely loves his pies, pastries and cakes.So when he was recently diagnosed as coeliac it was a bit of a struggle adjusting to his new diet requirement and finding places in the area that could fill the void.We were recommended the blind baker by another takeaway that offer gluten free options and were really glad they recommended this place because everything was great.Their pies are huge and filling and of the highest quality meat used. Their gluten free dessert offerings is wide and really delicious.They’re also very generous and threw in free GF buns and cookies the first time we visited and it was really appreciated.Highly recommend to all, especially those requiring GF options.

My god. Vege curry pie today hands down best pie I’ve had in a long time. Perfect crust. Eggplant! So so good.

This bakery is extraordinary! A Mecca for any coeliac. The pies and sausage rolls are better than any I've had gluten free or not! You would be able to tell the difference between there gf pastry and the best ordinary pastry. These ladies goddess of baking.Can not recommend enough!

Such a treat to find gluten free options at a bakery while we travelled in the region. We enjoyed our lunch and the options to GF folk were great - bread rolls, sweet treats and a couple of pastries. I believe they often have more pastry options too.

This place is a MUST for all gluten free people. I was delighted by the range I could have as a coeliac including a variety of pies, sausage rolls, bread, scrolls, pull a parts, cakes, slices & more. Everything was delicious & the owner friendly & helpful. Get in early before items sell out. I am from out of state & visited several times on our trip to Newcastle.

Awesome Gluten Free options available, staff are very friendly. Good selection of breads, cakes, pies and slices at reasonable prices. Outdoor seating available. Get in early for the GF options or call to discuss specific orders.

Amazing gluten free options! Vanilla slice and sausage rolls are delicious and can’t wait to try the other options! Lady serving was genuinely lovely and made us feel very welcomed on our holiday. Will be sure to visit again on our next trip!
