Our first time at Legacy of India and what a treat.Lovely service and atmosphere.We enjoyed all the curries and curry puffs. Very tasty and just the right amount of spice.We’ll be going back and would definitely recommend.

Great food at a good price, little gem here in Merimbula. Mixed entree was great and a lovely butter chicken, if you like spicy try the Zingaloo curry. Prompt friendly service too.

We read the negative reviews about this restaurant... I'm not sure what happened on those nights, but we had a great experience! The service was friendly and efficient. The food had plenty of flavour and spice. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Naan bread was exceptional as were the Mango Chicken and the Dal Tadka. Word of warning though, when they say hot" spice level

The food was freshly cooked, naan bread was great! Though that was the best part of my meal. I prefer eggplant masala curry to have more flavour and spices (seems it's catered to 'western' pallet). Has potential but please don't hold back on the true depth of Indian flavour!

We saw window seat in the restaurant and we asked for if we can have a window seat. The waitress replied us all window seats are booked. We had our dinner there but we couldn't see any more customer coming in. We finished our dinner in about an hour and we were the last table when we left.Really want to know where are those customers" who booked the table !!"

Had dinner for 2 on a weekday night. Would not choose to eat here again. All 3 dishes were small serves, lacked flavour .. not nearly enough spice used so no fragrance. Basmati Rice texture was gritty and the naan bread seemed dry. Service was offhand.

This place was very close to where we stayed in Merimbula. Generally, i avoid Indian food in small towns in Australia as it's generally very mellowed down version and full of cream and tomato.The 2nd night, i was craving some Indian food, and we tried it. Surprisingly, it was good. 3rd night also we were late for dinner and it was one of the only few places open. So we ate dinner there again. As i mentioned, the food tastes pretty good. The only caveat is that they are not the true self of the original dish. The biriyani was like a spicy rice with chicken , not close to real biriyani, but tasty at the same time. They also gave a very sweet yogurt dip with the biriyani, which shouldn't be sweet at all. The matar mushroom was great. The chicken madras were not at all like chicken madras curry, but it was very good.
