LDK Greenway Views

We’d spent months looking around at aged care facility offerings, often feeling great disappointment at not being able to find anything that stood out.Luck was on our side the day we stumbled upon LDK Greenway Views. We met with Jai, who explained everything about the LDK model and he took us on a tour throughout the GV village. We’d never seen so many friendly, happy people - residents and staff alike. We were so very impressed with everything about this place, it felt so right.Mum gave it the tick of approval and the wheels were put in motion. She moved in to her apartment during August 2022 and has since made lots of lovely friends, and now has a very busy social life.This is the standard Australia should be striving to achieve for Seniors Living and Aged Care in Australia - it’s the absolute best and we hope LDK continues to expand this model Australia wide!Well done to everyone at LDK, you must all be very proud to work with this excellent organisation.We highly recommend Greenway Views and the LDK model to everyone we meet.

I attended LDK for a carers pamper day as part of my university placement in occupational therapy. The facilities were wonderful - making the day particularly special. The staff were also lovely and accomodating to participants needs.I would love to return!

In 2020, I was at the Vikings in Tuggeranong having a cuppa and thinking about what help I could find for my wife who had advancing dementia. As I walked out, I saw signboards advertising Greenway Views and Aspire Aged Care. So I walked in and enquired. I was told LDK offered all levels of care, including secure dementia care. Deciding to move here was one of the biggest, fastest, expensive and best decisions I have made in one afternoon. LDK cared well for my wife until she passed in 2022.As a widower, it made such a big difference being able to come home to Greenway Views instead of going back to a big, empty house where I’d pretty much be alone. I’ve not ever felt alone here. Staff and residents at Greenway Views look out for me, and look after me with the utmost warmth, caring and kindness through my grief, through a recent accident and most lately, through a heart attack. I pressed the emergency pendant and within minutes I had care staff in my apartment and was whisked to hospital promptly. I had 4 blockages and was treated immediately. If I had been living at home alone, I would most likely not be alive. Being here at LDK saved my life.The care and on-site services here is unparalleled, LDK help me with my aged care assessments and package and can use the funding to receive services such as cleaning, transport and nightly meal delivery. I'm home here amongst many friends.

We are so glad that we decided to move into Greenway Views by LDK. We have been here for just over the 2 ears, and we love it. The staff are like family, everything that was told us at our first introduction session, has come to fruition. The staff from all the different areas at the village are amazing, they are always cheerful (even after a few disasters!)and smiling most of the time. The many functions and group activities are top class. It has been mentioned many times, that living in this beautiful village is like being on a Cruise Ship, especially the wonderful food and special theme buffet's. We have met many new people that we now call friends, and even some colleagues from our past. We have joined many of the activities available to all, and have had a go" at things we would never have attempted before and then realised we were missing out on so much! It is what we had been looking for

LDK has been exceptional in their patience and flexibility assisting with my move here while I was sorting out my finances. This place is unique like that.I feel so supported and am particularly grateful for this. The LDK model gives me financial security as I know my costs are fixed for life. I don't have to worry about rates, electricity, water, insurances, telephone bills anymore. And because of the One Move Promise, I know I never have to move, even though my care requirements have changed.The main thing for me is, I can be me. I can still enjoy cooking, gardening, entertaining friends in my own apartment with the views of the hills, and having my dog, cat and birds with me. I am involved with and participate in the resident's committee.My moving into LDK has also been a huge reduction of stress for my daughter, to the extend that LDK helps with managing my care package, including getting me to medical appointments and shopping trips, and I do not have to rely on my daughter to do this.Sue

The extraordinary thing about this place is the welcoming ambience, the luxurious look of the place, the 5 star meals in the restaurant - but beyond that, it's the authentic friendliness of the staff and how everyone treats you like a person who matters. They really listen, they know your name, your likes and dislikes, your food and beverage preferences. You enjoy the conversations, the personal connection. It's like being amongst old friends.During the lockdown, the commitment of the staff and management to the residents was even more evident. I tell everyone I meet about LDK, how committed the staff are to residents, the transparency and honesty in the LDK model that is shared upfront, right at the start you know your financials, the One Move Promise, the views from the apartments and the balconies. It's a marvellous place to live.

I've been living in Greenway Views for nearly a year. I had seen other villages but most apartments were for couples. My one-bedroom apartment here is perfect for a single person. It has a lovely terrace looking at the gumtrees and town centre.I do tapestry and paintings and can put them up on my apartment walls. The staff are wonderful, they know my likes and my dislikes. I'm happy that I can dine in the restaurant or order the meals I like and the staff know my favourites - like fish and chips! My brothers come to dinner here and my neighbours from Kambah have visited me here to have tea and cakes.I've met many people and done so much since I've been here. I go to the knitting club and the gym and visit the podiatrist on-site. Through my home care plan I receive cleaning services and have a car to take me to physio and other appointments. I'm very happy and love it here.

I have been living at Greenway Views since it opened in February 2020. From the outset I was treated with such respect, kindness and consideration. This started as a prospective buyer and continues to this day. I moved from Sydney so it was a huge adjustment. LDK assisted me all the way and made that transition very calm and smooth. Since moving in to my perfect apartment I am so happy and feel as though I am one of the family here - very safe and loved The amenities are wonderful and the care team are exceptional.I think the best thing about Greenway Views is the people - residents and staff alike. With the ‘one move promise’ my care needs are lovingly and very well met in my own home - I feel independent and respected. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!

Another lovely event generously hosted by LDK, Greenway for the carers of people living with Parkinson’s in our local Canberra community! Thank you, Sharon and team, such a beautiful setting, food, vino and ambience in the Ticketty Boo Bar and surrounds. We are always welcomed and you are always very responsive to both your clients and your partners. Definitely 5 star ⭐️!

I moved into Greenway Views in November 2021.I liked what I saw from the first visit and the moment my daughter saw Greenway Views she said, 'this is where you have to be Mum'. The things I liked was the clarity of knowing all your costs upfront and the reassurance of not having to worry about rising costs. A lot of people think it's expensive, but I did the math and found that the costs are not more expensive. In fact, there was not much difference in the cost, but there's so much for difference in the support and services you get here. This includes knowing you can stay here till the end because of LDKs One Move Promise, care that’s available on-site and IT support whenever needed.In addition to all this, they live up to their motto of love, decency and kindness - not only in care services but in every service. There's such a positive vibe here, beautiful people, I have made so many new friends already and I am very happy.
