My all time favourite place for oysters. Worth the long drive and every dollar. Fresh, sweet and creamy! The little gems are aptly named.Staff are lovely! No longer able to eat onsite, so we were directed to a beautiful spot nearby to enjoy our oysters at a lookout. Just ask them where the best spot to sit and eat. They even checked wind direction before helping us find the perfect spot!!

Just had 3 dozen delicious oysters between us. Best value in the region. The hostess was very friendly and offered free ice pack to go.

Best tasting Sydney rock oysters I have had.Really like how you can buy different aged oysters here from 1 year to 6 years at different price points so you can taste the difference between the ages. Sweet to creamy respectively.The store looks odd on first impressions because it’s a house but it’s a unique setup with lots of ribbons from the Easter show hanging inside the garage.

We went to more than three oyster places in the sapphire coast region, and this place , by far, was the best in terms of quality, freshness, education, hospitality and experience for getting oysters! Get them take away and then go up the road to the lookout to eat themWith the best view !

The best oysters on the Sapphire Coast!The baby ones were cute and sweet! The 4 yo ones were Soo creamy!We visited Tathra Oysters at 5:30 on Sunday and it was still open! Yay for oysters as an after beach snack.

The owner had great customer service & even spent time chatting with us about oysters which we found interesting. He also told us some local tips which was much appreciated. I got the gems (3yro) dozen opened for $12 & they were fresh & nice. Glad I tried this place :-)

(4.5 stars)We have been busily collecting oysters along our NSW South Coast travels. Today we did a taste-off with the four-year old Tathra Oysters Cocktail ($14/doz) winning the best all-round oyster balancing savoury and salty very nicely with plump creaminess! They were closely followed by the Wagonga Inlet ($12/doz) oysters we picked up at Narooma Bridge Seafoods that were the briniest of the lot. The three-year old Tathra Gems ($9/doz) came in third, closely followed by Merimbula Gourmet Oysters premium ($12/doz). Really enjoying the bounty of these beautiful seaside locales.

Stunning oysters! We’d heard from our accommodation and internet searches that this was the place to go for oysters in Tathra.I loved the little sign up showing the condition of the oysters that day - we got the special (3 dozen for $30, what an absolute bargain!) and although the condition was in the middle “sweet and creamy” they were delicious.We made a couple mignonettes and sides as well as having them natural, and they would easily have been $50 a dozen in a high end restaurant.Can’t wait to go back!

Best oysters I’ve had, such a gorgeous flavour and great service and exceptional value. Also a real nice guy who knows and loves Tarthra, who gave me some helpful tips on the area. ❤️
