My partner and myself were looking for a place to buy wool produced in Tasmania. We stumbled across The Lucky Ewe while on our road trip and popped in. Karen was so lovely and spent the time to chat with us about wool production in Tasmania. She is one of the only places in Tasmania where you can find wool produced and dyed in Tassie as opposed to overseas! She really knows her stuff and carries beautiful product. Purchased some wool to make a touque and I can’t wait! Thank you, Karen!

I visited Tasmania last week with a small tour group of knitters and crafters. For me, this shop was one of the highlights of the 8 day tour. A great variety of yarns and tools, a shop with a lovely atmosphere and pretty location, a delight for yarn lovers and weavers and Karen was very helpful, friendly and informative. I’m knitting with her yarn now and enjoying the happy memories.

This shop was a creators dream! A great range of books, yarns, notions and so much more. Karen, the owner, was so helpful and lovely.When I was there, I attended a workshop which was so rich with information. The lesson space is perfect, being I'm the back part of the shop, away from the hustle and bustle of business life.

My favourite shop in Tassie. Rowena really knows her stuff! She is full of advice and knowledge, plus she sells wool from her own sheep that she dyes herself. Supplies here for spinners, knitters, crocheters, felters, as well as beautiful little crafty gifts and more. Extensive range of dyes too! A fantastic shop that supports lots of locals as well. I can't wait to try out my fibre wash and power scour on my own fleece and wool

stopped in for a visit while on vacation in Tasmania and this place did not disappointment. it had a fantastic selection of wools abd fleeces and the owner was super knowledgeable, helpful and amazingly friendly. I wish there were more places like this!

Treasure trove of fibre delights. Knowledgeable, friendly advice and great colour range. EDIT: even better now, an expanded range, fabulous colours within an amazing colonial home, (ok I admit it's close to my home/heart), this new Lucky Ewe is a great improvement and well worth a visit to browse, squish and buy.
