Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay
2nd time back, and was just as good as the first. Nice rooms, good value, lovely big pool and close to the beach. Will be back again.

Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay
Stayed 3rd to 5th Dec 22. I've been to Hervey Bay on both business trips and holidays since 95. This time around we stayed at the Grand Mercure Allegra for 3 nights on a family holiday. Spacious rooms, clean when you first enter. A decent gym and front pool area for the kids centrally located in Torquay. I've stayed at a number of hotels and resorts in Hervey Bay over the years the Grand Mercure Allegra is certainty one of the better resorts you can stay in Hervey Bay.

We advised staff we would be arriving late and the keys and instructions were provided as per advice of the staff. Perhaps by chance we met the manage as we arrived. Very pleasant fellow who assisted us. The rooms and amenities were clean, up to date, position of the hotel was right by the water, gardens well cared for. For our 2 night stay we didnt need to call on service.

Had a large apartment on the 3rd floor looking out to the ocean. Small balcony but big enough for a holiday and outdoor eating. Underground parking with security roller door. Good electronic security all round the building. Lovely very clean pool infact the whole apartment block was very well looked after. Helpful friendly staff and easy check in and out. Would definitely stay again.

Have stayed here before years ago with family so when my partner and I came here last year staying at the Allegra was a non negotiable because my family enjoyed the stay then and we have enjoyed our stays last year and this year. Rooms are always clean and have everything you need. We loved the views from the big balcony’s and the pool was amazing! Check in was so easy as we arrived on a Sunday and their office hours were closed. Definitely recommend as we love Hervey Bay and we hope to back next year for another stay at the Allegra.

The 1 bedroom cypress is extremely spacious and the sound is well insulated. Mostly friendly staff including housekeeping (1 of the reception ladies isn’t particularly nice). Kitchen is well equipped with cutlery and crockery, modern appliances throughout the apartment, has a rice cooker and pressure cooker. After hours check in process was reasonably smooth.Cons included: limited reception opening hours. Needed to present to reception while it was open to complete check in, which was a challenge due to my working schedule. It was just to sign a piece of paper and I wonder if they could have just emailed it to me. Also housekeeping didn’t clean away the copious amounts of sand in the dryer left by the previous guests so my clothes inadvertently got dirty and I had to rewash. Also got heaps of white fluff on my clothes from the washing machine. Sliding doors to the bedroom didn’t stay closed. When I asked to check out later, they reluctantly extended to only 10:30am. Need to clean the dishes and take down the trash or will get charged a cleaning fee.

Very clean . Spacious appt . However Being an older person I could not use spa as there are no steps or seating ! So money wasted there . Couldnt get in and would never be able to get out !Also notice in kitchen ,”If you leave your rubbish bag in bin and dont dispose of it it and dont replace it you will be fined $25.00?At $570.00 for two night stay I do feel they could empty the bin !!!Bit disappointed at that.NOTE The managers have refunded me one night accommodation .Also they have adjusted their ad to reflect my concern for future guests Well Done Allegra

Had the 2 bedroom swim up room, could have had extra sun lounge on the patio (1 is not enough for 4 people) also needs a BBQ.Pool is excellent (plenty of loungers there).Short walk to shops and restaurants.Room is excellent, nice and roomy.

Grand Mercure Allegra Hervey Bay
My family and I spent 2 weeks at Allegra and enjoyed every moment. We stayed in a Unit on the third floor. We had partial sea view from the balcony. Unit was lovely and clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful big swimming pool at the front of the property and a gym and sauna in the basement. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Perfect position along the Esplanade. Enjoyed it that much We have already booked to return!
