The owner (Tony) of the company is very rude and disrespectful! Told one thing by the lady at the front counter, who was lovely and when I called up to confirm everything, I was told Well I'm the owner and I'm telling you NO!" Cannot believe you think yelling at potential customers is acceptable! If I could give zero stars I would!!"

Hired a 5 ton Pantech to move house as our removalist let us down. The staff were friendly and helpful, we had to change the date, due to Covid and settlement date change. The guys assisted us every step of the way. Will be our first stop for truck hire in the future. Very highly recommend the Townsville staff and facility.

Re: sales rep- WARNING ⚠️ everyone from out of town as you will see other below reviews. Worst Rental Townsville company ever had to deal with.Worst customer service by this particular person (female staff). Never informed us of policy changes to insurance 4 days from required service and didn’t offer any alternative solutions to support us besides the comment, “my boss is worse then me, I’m nicer so he will tell you to find another company!” Go figure?

WARNING this guy is awfully rude an absolute oxygen thief don’t give these guys your money consumers beware! I just rang up and spoke to this germ on the phone and got a quote quickly for for a hire a car for local use only I then politely asked if there is an option for unlimited kilometres outside of Townsville I was then rudely hung up on and spoken to very poorly for simply enquiring. I’ll be paying you a visit in person very soon hope you’re as brave in person as you’re over the phone!

Great people. The truck we rented was in good condition. Easy to drive. Staff explained special features of the truck. It was a hassle free experience.

What a very poor experience I just had. Rang to inquire about a vehicle to hire and the guy I was speaking to was very rude and hanged up on me. I’m all for helping small businesses but will never recommend these guys to anyone. Very very poor

So helpful and went above and beyond.I was left without a car at the airport from Enterprise car rental and Independent helped me out endlessly. They gave me a great car and then were able to extend the time I needed. They kept in contact helping me extend the time I needed. Thank you so much. I will definitely be booking you again and sharing this great experience.

I was purposely ignored when I walked in and the refusal to acknowledge my presence lasted nearly 3 minutes. Before my booking was even able to be mentioned, the general attitude of the desk staff was dismissive and rude.

Today I attempted to rent a care for 4 days. Confirmed two drivers and completed all the paperwork prior to arriving to pick up the car. I was told that due to my cc expiring in two months we would need another CC. Attempted to offer the other persons CC but then we only wanted the car for three days and was told that due to there being an issue with the first card they would not rent to us at all. We were not upset nor did we treat them rudely for provide them with any other reason to not allow us to hire the car. Very disappointing. We are left without a car for a day and another rental company has allowed for my CC to be used with them. This could have been avoided when I asked on booking if my card would be accepted as I did check that at the time.

Not a fan of the customer service I received.I sent out an email and independent rentals asked for more detail, I sent off a reply and never got a response so followed up with a phone call to which I was completely written off. Either you own a business or are an employee, you should always speak to any potential customer with respect. Not only have I since heard terrible things but will make sure to spread the word that the customer service is below subpar.
