Mount N Ride Rainforest Horseback Tours Cairns

A memorable experience, and rare opportunity to journey through the local rainforest and rivers on horseback. Our ride was a little shorter than advertised, but given the hot weather, and thinking about the poor horses carrying us through it, we didn't mind too much. The only thing that bothered me was having the photographer walking between my horse and my partner's for most of the journey - it was very distracting and took away from the experience. The photos she took were great, it's just a shame we didn't have much opportunity to take our own or record some of the journey ourselves (given we were moving at a snail's pace, I doubt it would have created much of a hazard).

I did enjoy my time here! The scenery is beautiful, It’s excellent for first time riders, however as a more experienced rider I would have loved a little bit more free reign! I understand they have to follow health and safety procedures but You didn’t really control the horse at all, they were just following a very familiar trail very slowly.

Absolutely loved this experience. I'm an experienced rider and I loved every minute. Great price for the length of the ride. My husband is a beginner and also had a great time. The horses are beautiful in nature and a pleasure to ride. Shae was a lovely and caring guide. She made sure multiple times throughout the ride that everyone was feeling okay and confident. Everyone was given the chance to trot if they wanted and I was even allowed the chance to canter with Shae. I haven't ridden in some years so it felt amazing to be back in the saddle. The scenery was amazing. Highly recommend!!!

Myself and my 9yr old daughter had such a memorable experience. We have been on many different trail rides in Cairns and this one is the most impressive. Riding in the water was so much fun. The staff were so attentive and helpful. The horses were so lovely. They also gave me a decent locals discount.

Good:- Lovely place with lovely horses. Went through the river with the horse led by guide. Guide also reminded us where the tree branches sticker out and should be avoided. We got a few chance to trot and it felt really goodShould be take into consideration for other who like to try:- Very far from city centre and no shuttle bus transfer. If anyone comes by Uber, better book your return ways in advance, otherwise it will become difficult to get one.- If anyone is planning to get the photos, better ask them to provide the original resolution ones. I first received the low resolution one and asked them again and finally got the high resolution photos. They took around 70ish photosImprovement for the staff- Hope it would be better for someone to answer the phones. I tried so many times to call, only managed to connect once.

Honestly just a wonderful was to spend an afternoon. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and it was so nice to just kick back and relax on a peaceful horse ride.Both of us were inexperienced but we were to well informed and instructes that we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Extremely accommodating for those who are unsure about being on horseback.The staff were very fun and interactive and the horses has some of the most interesting personalities. Twinkle was an absolute character and I loved the entire trip.

Very disappointing people to deal with.Firstly on the website is a sign written minibus which isn’t in use. Therefore if you’re not local it’s another $150 fee which adds on top of the $280 for 2 people. Total $430. Then they added $13 not sure what for.They also must keep all your card information because 10 days later they removed another $40.If you’re a local and have your own vehicle you get a $40 discount ….If you’re a tourist without a vehicle it’s another $190.Welcome to Cairns.Never again.My partner lost an expensive and sentimental diamond ring in the change room I spoke to management who could have contacted the 6 other customers at the time but no….

A lovely setting with helpful staff. However, not very suitable for experienced riders as stated on the website and informed over the phone. More suited for beginners and children. Riding ability did not seem to change the pace/direction of the tour unfortunately. I did a private tour which lasted less than an hour as opposed to the 1 and a half hours advertised.
