Mountain View Pet Retreat

I can’t recommend Mountain View Pet Retreat enough! I came in for an inspection and the place was well presented and clean. My partner and I booked the deluxe kennels for our two fur babies and they were perfect! we have been to many kennels in the past and have been so disappointed, so it was great to find somewhere where not only the grounds and kennels were well presented but the staff were polite, friendly and took care of our dogs as we would! We were so happy to see them when they came running out to us but did not want to leave. So happy with the treatment not only the dogs received but us as well. We will be back! Great experience

Our Tia gets highly anxious in new environments as we are her third family and she has a sad history. The staff here are amazing and were very mindful of making sure she felt relaxed and comfortable placing her next to a dog who was also shy and anxious. I was shown a video of her playing and happy with the other dog as they had become great friends over the 2 days. Thank you team at Mountain View Pet Retreat for your care and compassion whilst looking after Tia. We are very happy.

My girl loves this place!! They look after her so well. Definitely recommend , they’re amazing

I bring my little dachshund here so that her older brother and the cats get a bit of a break from her high energy. The team is amazing with her, as she can be a bit sassy, and is still learning her manners. She always come home pooped after a big day of socialising and having fun with the team. We really appreciate the care and patience that goes into looking after her for us.

The owners no longer run these kennels.They will pop up on video every now and then.I have just walked out of this place. As I was constantly complaining about the way it was being run.And my hours were cut because of it.I asked for meetings to be held.But the general manager Charles Brown refused my requests.Dogs were coming in healthy and leaving with canine cough. Because the Manager Michael Odonovan was mixing the f10 spray wrong.And would not listen to me.My constant complaints about ME being the only person to top up the dogs waters were considered whinging by him.And anyone going for an inspection from now on.Notice the delux “Air con” section. That people are paying big money for…Not one was turned on in the whole time I worked there.So when you go in for a delux inspection.Ask them…. Can I see a delux suite with the aircon running please.Response to Owner.My employment was never terminated.I have proof of that. I walked out after my hours were cut. After voicing my concerns and allegations.And no matter how much time passes. And how much I think about my actions.The facts will never change.

Our dog Blue-Jay has stayed at Mountain View a few times now and she is always cared for extremely well. She absolutely loves it there and her favourite person is Mick. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately will not be going back. Over 20 attempts to call the kennel over 3 days and they answered once. I had my dog stay in the same kennel with a family members dog for 5 days, when checking in both dogs, the staff were almost unable to find the booking, didn’t explain any pickup/drop off or payment procedures, in a big hurry and not very understanding. When picking the dogs up, they were not even on a lead, just allowed to run straight through the door without checking if the main reception door was open first. The staff tried to overcharge us for an extra day and didn’t even note the medication required for 1 dog on their file. They could not tell us how the dogs behaved for the 5 days, didn’t even know one of the dogs was on medication, I had to prompt them to go search for the medication to be able to take it home, luckily after counting the remaining tablets, we were able to confirm that they did provide the medication as required. My dog then came home with both kennel cough, gastrointestinal issues, and missing his registration tag. The staff were apologetic when I called to let them know my dog has come home with these issues, but not very understanding. They tried to tell me his tag would of accidentally fallen off, but it is clipped on far too tight to accidentally fall off and has never fallen off before, even during rough play. This was my first time putting my dog into a kennel, although the staff were polite overall and my dog did come back very happy (and sick), I am not comfortable enough to return.

I’ve been to many kennels throughout Queensland and when I was researching for a new place for my precious one, I found their website to be so informative and when I spoke to the staff, they provided much information and were a treat to talk to.I couldn’t be happier with the facilities and can’t wait to take my baby to Mountain View Pet Retreat.

We’re super pleased with Mountain View Pet Resort. The most important reason that we feel they earn 5 stars is that our dogs come back super happy and chill.Maybe it’s because they get daily walks, a hydro bath before coming home or the warm meals in the evenings.From an owners perspective the pricing structure is fair and we were super impressed that when we last picked up our pups that MVPR refunded us a few bucks as somehow we had overpaid. We would have never known if it wasn’t for the honesty of MVPR. Thanks team, we appreciate you!
