Sandown Indoors Sports Centre

Very old and dusty but it's not easy to find indoor tennis in Melbourne, staff just needs to be a bit more attentive but otherwise it does what it's supposed to.

When I first discovered this sport center, i thought i have hit a jackpot. It had everything me and my friends like - Badminton, Cricket, Soccer, Tennis and Gym all at one place. However, when we went here for our first game, we found out this place to be a bit stuffy. The reason , perhaps, was there was an ongoing cricket practice session with around 30 players.We went here again and even though it wasn't crowded then, the place didn't seem to be clean as compared to the Monash Sport Center Clayton.I have no complaints against the staff though, they were friendly and communicated well. They even offered my son (2.5 years) an extra tennis racquet at no charge. For those who had bad customer service experience, it may be an occasional thing.

Called these guys to book a cricket lane last sat'day (29/06/19) and the lady on the phone said it's available 1:30 to 3 pm. Where I clearly said I won't be able to be there by 1:30 but closer to 2 pm. Where we arrived at 1:50 pm and started practicing from 2-3pm sharp. Later at the counter, the guy said we have booked from 1:30 pm and the charge is for 1.5Hrs??? I went on to explain what happened and the phone conversation I had with his colleague but he was telling me next time I give you extra??? & its charged 1.5hrs cos we were waiting in the cafe area" When I wasn't even asking for extra and waiting in the cafe shouldn't be applied a waiting cost ..ridiculous. Anyway never again and suggest others to use somewhere else too. Businesses with such principles and Ethics like this should never to be encouraged."

A nice place to go if your looking to practice or have a game with friends. Staff are amazing and the tennis lessons are EXTREMELY good. A very good place!

Excellent venue for indoor tennis and cricket. Also supports volleyball, soccer and badminton. There is also a small gym upstairs. Hasn't got a lot of equipment but all the items are there. Gym also not very busy which is great. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday night tennis comps are also well run and have been running for years. Plenty of parking on site or street parking (no time limits and is free). Place could do with a good clean though. Messy, untidy and dusty.

Good place to hire Tennis or Futsal/Indoor Soccer Courts. Small gym upstairs . Social Tennis competitions run Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

Extremely rude staff. Don't deserve 1 star but had to give one in order to be able to post the review.

Played soccer tournament here and I really enjoyed it. great customer service.
