Awabakal Nature Reserve
This is one of the best nature walks available in the Newcastle area. Often you'll meet one or two other groups if you walk to the bluff, none if you head down to the lagoon. Wear mozzie repellent down there. Brilliant place of nature saved from humans and their pet's mess.

Nice reserve indeed.Disabled access should be ensured.Some amenities as bins and a toilet can be handy.

Beautiful walks and lovley lookout. The walk was kid friendly but held their hand as we came closer to the bluff. lots of bees with pollen during early spring. Park on ocean drv and walk its an easy quiet walk.

Love this location to walk through as there are wonderful native flowers and trees in the 4 different types of vegetation to enjoy. Superb views of the coastline!

Vehicle access blocked and fire trails overgrown. Very hazardous to adjacent houses in fire prone conditions.
