Mount Penang Gardens
The gardens were well upgraded and have been opened again since renovations that were underway a couple of months ago. The gardens did lack maintenance in some areas still, however this was minimal. Most gardens were well maintained. Facilities (toilets) were clean and maintained well. Went on a Public Holiday and the Cafe was closed but have been before and it's got a lovely view over the entrance pond (pics 1/2). Overall a lovely place for a picnic, a stroll or a day exploring the wildlife.

The Gardens are a lovely place to visit. Different events are held there throughout the year. I have been to markets, car shows and concerts there. Nice and open and relaxing. The concerts can get a bit crowded and when the weather is poor it can get rather muddy but overall an enjoyable experience.

Nice place to take a stroll. The lotus flowers were all dried maybe due to not being in season. I can only imagine it would look great when it is in bloom. Nice cafe at the entrance.

Great little garden. We've stopped a few times now for lunch/break on the way north/south during holiday trips. Brilliant cafe nearby for coffee or lunch. Space over the road to setup lunch or for kids to run around and burn off their energy.Partner loves taking photos of the flowers and wildlife. I'll snap a few shots but mostly enjoy just the quietness and the wildlifeWorth walking around all the sections - lots of little alcoves around the paths harbor themed gardens that you'll miss from even 5m away.Great variety of birds and insects, too. Very peaceful place to visit. If you're not stopping to photo everything, takes 20-40 minutes to amble around leisurely and view everything. Depending on the state of flowers in bloom (and if the camera is out) takes us 2-3 hours.Judging from the chalk notes we've seen on the path regularly it looks like there might be a park run/fitness group that do laps there, too.

Very relaxing, small yet very fulfilling for a stroll. The lakes and grass meadows add to the beauty. Interior from roads makes it a calm place to sit and enjoy the lake views

This has the potential to be a brilliant place but it needs some work. It might be great if you just want somewhere to let your kids or dogs run around as it has a great network of pathways, however the gardens are quite run down. For example there are signs for plants that haven't been there for years, the sculptures in the sculpture garden are covered in lichen so you can't really see what they are and the water features and ponds are full of rubbish and leaves etc.The cafe nearby is quite good and I highly recommend a visit.

Very well maintained garden. Really clean and quiet. Love the little pockets and informative signs. Definitely worth a visit when around Central Coast.

The Gardens needs a lot of care and love. Needs more work. The Cafe with views to the waterfall was beautiful. The bird life was great. The Kookaburra was very friendly.
