From a very troubled family childhood, orphaned at age 15, ordained a priest at age 25, a South Melbourne parish priest for 39 years to 2012, in 2003 he started the Father Bob Maguire Foundation, a grass roots organization that provides care to thousands of displaced, homeless, vulnerable and impoverished and distributes more than 24,000 meals, 7000 food hampers, free legal aid and free hair cuts etc.  At age 85 Father Bob remains active.  Hats of to you and your achievements Father Bob and to the amazing work of your foundation.
