This salon is a hidden gem! Driving through beautiful Warrandyte to get there sets the tone of what welcomes you on arrival. The salon is so inviting with lots of warm timber and lighting throughout. The team are simply delightful and fun to be around. The coffee was perfect and if it hadn’t had been 10am, I would have absolutely had a cocktail (bring on Thursday night appointments). My appointments are never quick and the chairs were comfortable and it was easy to settle in for a few hours…something that any dedicated foil client appreciates!!Amanda is my hairdresser and without a doubt Amanda is one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever been to. I’m a natural redhead and I like to break my natural colour up with foils. Amanda has an amazing instinct when it comes to colour (which isn’t always easy with natural red as a base) and while we always discuss what we’re going to do with my colour, I would happily sit down and just let Amanda do her thing. She’s amazing!!I absolutely recommend Amanda and the team!!

I went to Salon Blond 2 weeks ago for a haircut. It cost me $70, but I certainly didn't get what i asked for. I'm now going to have to go to another hairdresser to get it fixed.The hairdresser insisted on washing my hair again even though I told her I had only washed it 2 hours before. My scalp became so dry it hurt for 2days after, and my hair was so dry and brittle. I was specific about the need for lots of layers because my hair is always so frizzy and I need to take the weight out of the bottom. She gave me a few very superficial layers which has left my hair looking awful. I also asked her for a fringe, which she didn't want to give me. I had to show her a photo of myself witha fringe from a previous cut at another salon, she was still hesitant and I had to ask her in excess of 5 times to cut it as short as the photo. In the end I gave up and went home and fixed it myself. I will not be going back. I had better cuts for $20 in box hill.

The best in the business! I travel to come to Amanda Jean Hair from the peninsula as she is just too good! If you want to have your hair looking the best it ever will while hanging out at the coolest salon in Melbourne, then this is the place for you!
