I have been their customer for years (Garden bags). I asked for a quote to remove a tree. His quote was $250 dearer than other companies , the reason given was that he had to drag the tree out of my backyard by himself. I had to choose him due to the tree needing to removed very urgently and he was the only available. He came in that day, the tree was removed in 1 hour , all the tradies that were building my pool helped him out. He charged me still full price, He even wanted $50 more than what he quoted me. I of course cancelled my monthly Garden bags and will never use him again. Even the pool company guys were shocked at the price he asked for 1 hour of work for what he had to do. I felt ripped off.

Great business, fast and easy. Great price. Ian and his crew are polite and professional. I will use them again if I need them!

I have found this service very easy to use and communication with Ian very friendly. I am not always on top of my gardening and it is easy to skip a collection if my bag is empty by letting Ian know in advance. Bags get collected monthly and the next collection week is stated on the invoice. If I don't pay in advance (obviously not ideal) I have been able to pay after collection and have not had a bag refused for this. In saying that, it does very clearly state the service guidelines on every invoice so I wouldn't be upset if they did. I have only spoken with drivers a couple of times, and they mentioned bags can't be too heavy because they're moved by one person. It seemed to me like a reasonable statement so I have a spare bag if I need to split the load (like if it's ALL grass clippings and wet weather). Overall the bags fit a lot of garden waste and the company is easy to deal with, so I would recommend.[I want to state I am not family or friends, just someone who found Ian through Google and wanted to leave a positive review because I don't relate to the reviews that state he is rude and difficult to deal with.]

The most dismally atrocious service I have ever used, run by the rudest, most un-professional person I have ever encountered. When they did turn up (pretty much a lottery) they were often late.After they had hung me out to dry yet again I called to cancel the service. When I told them why, instead of being met with efforts to appease me and encourage me to keep the service, it was met with an accusation that I had not paid them for the most recent pickup and I was in arrears... For a pre-paid service. If my account was not up to date they would not have collected the bag.As the argument dragged on about a collection in December that never took place, I called out one of his lies and he hung up on me. From there he was foolish enough to continue the argument in text format (the entirety of which I have screen shot for posterity) in which he continued to remove any doubt of his unprofessionalism and immaturity.Following this argument I packed up the bag and frame and left them on the kerb for collection. A month and one week later (late, as per their M.O.) the bag was collected and an invoice was left in our letterbox for twice the original amount. He had the audacity to try and charge me for collecting his own property. In fact I only decided to write this review after seeing that hilarious passive-agressive piece of paper.There is no doubt in my mind that all of the positive reviews on here are fake, I cannot even imagine an alternate dimension where anyone could possibly be happy with this service. There are so many superior services to this unprofessional shambles of a company. STAY WELL AWAY FROM ALMIGHTY GARDEN BAGS if you value your sanity.EDIT: the reply to this review says that I was 4 months in arrears, this is another blatant lie. I had been in arrears in the past after this company missed several pickups and I simply stopped pre-paying for the service but they continued to pick up anyway. It also says that the conversation was verbally aggressive, it wasn't. Also, I rightfully accused the proprietor of being dishonest, not his sub-contractor.

I agree that the positive reviews here must be fake or from friends. I also experienced their rudeness from the driver and the owner.They constantly complained my bags were too heavy, even though they were not full. They never tried to say how heavy was too heavy or work to find a solution. I suspect it is because they pick them up after it has rained and the grass clippings are too wet. Even after asking for additional bag to be left to help distribute the load I would only get 1. The green waste started to pile up because i was too scared to put it in their bag so I even purchased my own additional bags. But they refused to collect if if it wasn't in their bags.So if you ignore this warning (and others), expect to be only able to fill the bag 1/3 or 1/2, which is then back to the volume of the council bin. But they will still charge you the full bag price of $24.

Very happy with their service, I don't keep track of when they are supposed to pick up so don't have any complaints about whether they are late or not. They have always been very easy to deal with whether its changing pick up dates or anything else. Using them is much easier than putting everything in the bin or taking it to the tip.I would also like to say that I am not a relative or acquaintance of this company and don't agree with anything of the negative comments from some others.
