First-time wedding dress shopping. I was rushed through the experience and constantly reminded that they had other clients after me. Squeezed into dresses that were 5 times too small which made me feel super depressed. Left the store and cried in the car. Never returning. Do not recommend.

Absolutely had the best experience at Melissa E! Better than a previous experience at another bridal shop in ballarat who had put me off wedding dress shopping all together. The ladies were really wonderful at Melissa E and really knew there stuff

Customer service is everything. From rude staff and bad vibes. There was one lovely staff member who was sweet and caring. But It’s rather disappointing when I have heard nothing but great things but to be greeted today with the negative vibe. We went else where for our purchases. Working in retail is a tough gig but today that was a disgrace.

The ladies at Melissa E and Melissa herself especially, have been nothing short of understanding, empathetic and extraordinarily professional and helpful to me, have altered my dress in short notice to an excellent standard and provided everything I needed for my big day for a very reasonable price, and have been so comforting and helpful when it came to fitting things around my struggles with kids in and out of hospital sick, even when I'd accidentally missed an appointment, the team at Melissa E we're nothing short of exceptionally understanding and helpful.I don't plan on needing a second wedding dress, but if ever I needed to recommend someone or needed alterations, I wouldn't go anywhere else but here.Thankyou all very much for not only your excellent and skillful service but for your kindness and understanding as well.Rach Diprose

An absolutely amazing experience her shopping for my sisters wedding dress. Nikisha and Melissa made us so welcome and worked so hard to deliver the results we were looking for. The most lovely people and have made the whole experience everything we had hoped for! Cannot recommend them enough!

I was a little disappointed with my experience here. I booked a month in advance for an hour slot. We walked in and the staff were nice enough, but I felt rushed and cramped. The dresses were packed in so tight it was hard to see what we were looking at and the change room felt crowded with another group in there.We were told to pick some dresses, which we did, but it was the first shop we tried and I had no idea what I was really after. I asked if there were any they thought would suit me and I'm not sure what happened to that query, but after trying on the 5 we initially selected ourselves they said thanks for coming" and that was it. It had only been 40 minutes - what happened to my other 20?? My experience at the other bridal store in Ballarat was much nicer"

I brought my wedding dress from breader no appointment needed. They make you feel so comfortable in store and are so helpful. So many choices and very well priced.

Don’t buy any bridesmaid dresses from Melissa-e.I ordered three bridesmaid dresses around July 2021. Each of my bridesmaids were measured to ensure an accurate size would be ordered. During the appointment, I was told the dresses could be taken in or out by two sizes if any of the girls lost or gained weight.In early December the girls went to go and try the dresses on to get alterations. Two fit fine, but one of my bridesmaids the dress was obviously too tight. At the appointment, my bridesmaid asked if the dress could be taken out a little. Melissa said to her that “we don’t take out these dresses”. A clear different message I was told when I ordered these $290 dresses.I spoke to Melissa and said we have a problem as the dress was clearly to tight (I can’t understand why they’d take measurements and not order the correct size - they ordered her a 12 when she is a 14). Melissa said she could “take it out a little, but it was up to my bridesmaid to lose weight”. She said it was “too late to order a new size”.We picked up the dress in early January. I’m disappointed in this whole experience because Melissa not only lied to me but made my bridesmaid feel like she was the problem when getting the dress. The dress also had a rip in the back before the wedding day because it was so tight when it was tried on during the alterations it ripped.The dresses were also not blush, they tried on a sample that was clearly blush pink, but when we picked up the dresses they are clearly peach pink…In short, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Don’t put yourself through this pain and unprofessionalism.

I bought my daughter’s Deb dress from Melissa E and found the staff to be lovely and helpful in helping us find the right dress for her!
