This place has a hidden Gem, all the locals know this secret. When you see the line at this window you know something good is happening.I always grab some freshly made on the spot Emperors cream puffs.Just 60 cents each, trust me you'll buy more than 1.They are a true delight, warm little puffs of pure joy.Careful though because their so Moorish. When you try these mouth watering cream puffs you'll know why the locals line up.I recommend these cream puffs, my tummy and mouth recommend them also.ENJOY.

First time trying the cream puffs. Smells good, taste good. Long queue but fast moving. You can see the staff taking the puffs out from the machine.

Surprisingly people queue up for this. It’s a delicate cream puff but they are not consistent with their cooking time. My puffs were slightly under cooked this time when i had mine. Meaning not as crispy for the texture.

This place is known for their famous custard puffs, and you can see a long line of people queueing for it till the end of Chinatown. Is it worth it? Absolutely, it's very affordable at just five dollars for 10 puffs. The texture is soft, fluffy on the outside, and chewy with hot custard on the inside. While the vanilla flavor isn't of the highest quality, it's not bad for a late-night craving. However, the bakery owner's behavior was extremely rude. Even though it was raining, he kept pushing us to stand outside in the rain instead of under the shelter near his bakery door. We found this behavior to be very disrespectful. And the bakery need a renovation it’s outdated. But after all, it’s an iconic spot in Sydney Chinatown among students and the late opening hours also makes it a decent place to check out

Always see a queue whenever I pass by. Tried it for the first time and well..it just taste ok only. Maybe for people who never tried custard puff before might think its good but not for season player. Try it if you had not tried this snack before but maybe when the queue is shorter.

Been to Emperor's Puffs in Chinatown, Sydney many times. It is a popular spot known for its amazing cream puffs. Located on Dixon Street in the heart of Chinatown, Emperor's Puffs is a small hole-in-the-wall establishment that attracts long queues of people like us that are eager to get their hands on these delicious treats. When you visit Emperor's Puffs, you place your order at the counter which is just a hole in the wall.Strongly recommend order more than you need as because these cream puffs are too good to stop at just 1 or 2 or 5 or 10, you get the idea.Don’t finish them all then no problems. We found that they sweat a bit making the dough a tag soggy. But when we got home we put it in the oven to heat up and they were back to being their tasty best again. The puffs are made fresh on the spot, so you don't have to wait too long before they are ready. You get them within a minute of ordering. The service is very very quick. The queue moves quick enough too. Once you receive these cream puffs it is best to eat straight away while they are fresh. Note though – the cream filling is very very hot.So, what exactly are Emperor's Puffs? They are soft pastry balls filled with piping hot sweet custard. The puffs are made using a special machine that quickly churns them out. The dough mixture is dropped into molds, cooked, and transformed into a soft outer pastry casing. The custard filling inside is heated to a high temperature, creating a delightful contrast between the soft pastry and the hot custard. As mentioned above, Emperor's Puffs is a popular spot and queues are common.Definitely the best cream puffs in Sydney is at Emperor's Puffs in Chinatown.

We arrived during the day, when there was no long queue. They are nice and cheap ($5.00 x 10) they are best enjoyed while hot and fresh, nice snack size, not too sweet, however they're nothing to rave about.
