Flames Charcoal Grill

Food took 1 hour and 15 minutes from ordering over the phone. Not quite how long I expected for something as simple as chicken and chips. Upon collection I was told they were busy and they only had a single table occupied and no one else ordering throughout the duration I waited in there.Chips were overly salty and chicken portion side very small.Date of visit: 2nd March 2023

Newly discovered chargrill meat restaurant in Sippy Downs. The meat was cooked exceptionally well on a hibachi grill. You would think being a charcoal restaurant upon entering you would be bathed in charcoal smoke and leave smelling like a chimney, but this wasn't the case and talking to the owner (George) it was because of specially sourced high grade charcoal (didn't even know that was a thing).I did wait in the restaurant for takeaway and could see into the kitchen prep area and the cuts of meat being used were definitely of very high quality. No sinew, no fat and absolutely cooked to perfection. The seasoning was also very tasty.We had lamb & beef skewers, chicken tenderloins, chicken wings, slaw salad, garlic dip and bao buns. Watching the chefs prepare the food, you can tell that there was a lot of care and attention taken in the preparation and cooking of the food which was really nice to witness as it is an open plan kitchen.I personally liked all the meats, especially the wings and lamb, but i think the real indication the food was delicious was when my wife ate lamb and she's not normally a fan of lamb and even she said it was delicious.But the real surprise was the slaw. I saw some other reviews of the slaw and I think when people think slaw, they think mayo, sweet, soggy, over sliced bowl of mush, but this was not the case. The slaw was tangy, had a little punch to it which was delicious and it had texture because it wasn't sliced to within an inch of its life.I would highly recommend Flames to anyone looking for a healthy alternative takeaway food. 5 out of 5 for me and will definitely be returning very soon.

Love their grills, absolutely different and delicious. The lamb skewers are soft well cooked. Very Friendly and clean staff, would definitely recommend them. Sure will visit again!

Highly recommend! The meat is always super succulent, chips are great and the garlic whip is delicious. Best grilled meat option around.

Great Wagyu beef kebabs cooked over a traditional Japanese grill. Will be heading back to try the lamb and chicken options

Delicious lamb skewers. So tender and moist, with a nice smoky flavour. Serving size was large and great value for money.
