Spectacular view. Even if it is overcast and drizzly.The road is definitely bumpy, suggest something that has a bit of ground clearance, 4wd not needed.

Those rough,gravel road will lead you to a beautiful place.

Fantastic views on a clear dayScary drive up on this unsealed gravel road. If it has been raining and the ruts are deep then unless you're in a 4WD, don't bother attempting.

The reviews before us are right- the road is a bit rough and a 4WD would be best. Was an incredible view of Pirates Bay - best viewed on a clear sunny day. Over the warmer months look out for echidnas. We saw two!

Amazing lookout . The track their is a bit rough and takes about 30 mins. A 4WD is defintely recommended.

One of the most picturesque views in Tasmania. Forestry track up approx 8km, all wheel drive helps although not entirely necessary as it can get a little rough after rain. Avoid low clearance vehicles on road up. Excellent photo opportunity and view of pirates bay. Recently added steps down make it easier to walk down, is not wheelchair accessible. Well worth the drive up and only a little stroll 50m or so down some steps and gravel path once you reach the top to see the excellent view. Not great for letting small children go as no railing and huge drop off so hold them tight if you take them up! Love this spot. Good for a romantic picnic (if no one else has the same idea at the same time).

8Km track access with a 75Mtr walk from the parking area. Low clearance (saloon cars) would need to be careful, particularly if it is wet. A 4x4 will generally have no problem with the access road. Enter from Eaglehawk Neck onto Pirates Road.Best view of Pirates Bay and Eaglehawk Neck.

Lovely spot to stop and relax on the way to Hobart from Bicheno

Small trip on your weekend would be worth trying, great places, multiple places to visit (depending on how much time you have). Easy car parking area, handful of restaurants near by so make arrangements accordingly, in terms of nature view, it is extraordinary

Such a peaceful spot to take in the view over pirates Bay, gravel carpark, large gravel stairs have recently been put in place, no more slipping on your behind. Now the forestry road is quite rough and you need to take your time but it's well worthwhile. Welcome to my backyard
