Simpson Cottage Bundeena

There is not one thing that I could fault with the beautiful Simpson Cottage or the fabulous grounds and its close proximity for a dip in the water ◡̈So much detail, elegance and effortless style and has gone into the home... and it feels like a home (wish it was my home!) with everything you could possibly need.The kitchen is not just well equipped; it has beautiful pottery, crockery and serving platters, linen napkins, table cloths and then there is the beautiful french linen bedding in the bedrooms....!!During a time of grief, it felt like the best prescription for the body, mind and soul.Thank you Tara for your clear communication, your kindness and generosity.We will be back as soon as possible.Love Ruth

Tara has created the most incredible feeling of escaping this century whilst including luxurious you will fall in love with. Simpson’s Cottage is divine snd the location is unbeatable.Thank you for preserving a very important part of history and sharing with us. I would recommend without a doubt and would love to return one day.

This is such a lovely place to have a break. We loved the front room with the fireplace, playing board games with our grandsons. Beautiful house, bath and fully equipped kitchen.Views are spectacular. Walk down the stone steps to the waters edge to picnic areas and BBQs and great trees to climb. Oh and the beds are so comfortable. Floors were warm despite it being cold outside. Also we ordered an antipasto platter and breakfast bowls from Audley Dance Hall so we could pick up on the way to Simpson Cottage, what more could you want. Bundeena a beautiful spot. We plan to be back here and hire the local kayaks next time.

Incredible accommodation, the house and the gardens were the perfect backdrop to our long weekend. Our toddler loved the lawns and native birdlife, we loved the welcome cheeseboard, thoughtful touches at every corner - the natural surroundings and views are second to none. The house has been so beautifully restored and improved, feels like you're staying in a magazine while equally being so comfortable and liveable. Nothing has been missed from kitchen utensils, to extra plush furnishings, beautiful bathroom soaps, I could go on! If you're thinking about it, book now! you won't regret it!

Simpson Cottage is a beautiful sanctuary of tranquility. So close to Sydney CBD and yet feels a world away. Tara is a very generous and thoughtful host and has taken care of all the details plus so much more - with delightful extras like a cheeseboard on arrival and sweet treats for little ones.  The historic home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated, overlooking the bay, with all the amenities and luxuries one could desire for a relaxing and nurturing weekend escape. We had a wonderful stay there for Mother's Day weekend with extended family and will definitely be back.

What a weekend! The cottage is beautiful, full of history and filled with love and a very well stocked pantry. We loved all the linen throughout every room. The beds comfortable and linen sheets and pillowcases soft and pure luxury. Loved the hand thrown pottery plates and mugs. The view from the verandah over the bay is delightful and lots of birds come to visit during the day. A perfect spot to relax and unwind and can't wait to visit again.

I booked one day at Simpson Cottage for a photoshoot and I wish I could have stayed there forever! Tara was incredible in organising everything and the house is absolutely breathtaking. I can't wait to visit again... but this time for much much longer!

I recently spent a weekend at Simpson Cottage at Bundeena. A group of 5 friends enjoyed a lovely girls get away. On arrival we were welcomed with a delicious food platter and a bottle of champagne to kick things off! The location and views were amazing. The big wooden table in the backyard, where we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, facing the water views was so relaxing. We enjoyed a couple of beautiful walks during our stay. The location of the cottage was great. We walked to the shops in Bundeena, along the beach, and had breakfast at one of the lovely cafes. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and we were really interested in the history of it and how it has been lovingly restored. We certainly recommend a stay here and we were planning our return before we left.

We had an amazing few days at this beautiful cottage. We loved the garden and the house was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect so close to the water, Royal National Park and a short walk to Bundeena village. We look forward to returning one day.
