Daintree River Fishing & Photography Tours

After having this tour booked for months, Dave cancelled the tour a few days before we were scheduled to fly out. The general vibe he was giving was that he didn't feel like doing it anymore! We are now unable to find another company to accomodate us on our trip to Port Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest. Such a shame!

Dave is a legend. So knowledgeable after 30 years on the river. Very patient with my young bloke as well. Could not recommend him more highly. Was a bucket list item to fish that river and Dave made it everything I hoped for....what a morning!!!

Incredible experience, caught a large finger mark and 15kg plus Spanish Mackerel. David is absolutely the best guide and bespoke fishing experience we have been on. Do the Daintree river or weather permitting, out to the blue water. Second time around for us and we will be back.

8th year of enjoying fishing with Dave. Fantastic location and just a great guy. Really good value charter with the option of river or off shore in the same boat..

It was yrs ago I went out on a private river charter with Dave, he's a really nice bloke, and full of local knowledge and facts on the area . He worked efficiently and kept in mind my fishing preferences that were lures. We fished vibes deep first up and landed a couple. Our troll down to the flats hooked a few gts which was good fun. Dave then dropped me off on a safe beach while nearby collected liveys for the last part of the trip. Menwhile I flicked surface poppers.The last part of the trip was live baiting out the back of the vessel while I amused myself flicking topwater stickbaits. We got a cracker grunter hooked up and missed a Queeny in mid air. It was an all round great morning. The scenery alone is spectacular. To be fishing there is just perfect. I've sent my parents to Dave as they are on holidays up Port Douglas now.

Our highly anticipated fishing trip turned out to be a complete disaster. We were all geared up and ready to go, but unfortunately, the owner of the fishing charter canceled on us at the last minute. He told us that his house was flooded, which seemed like a valid excuse. However, we soon discovered that it was just another one of his lies.According to the locals, the real reason behind the cancellation was that the owner was on mushrooms the night before and was in no state to take us out fishing. This was not the first time he had done this. He had a reputation for canceling trips on short notice, and he didn't take any deposits, which made it even more frustrating for us.We had traveled all the way from Melbourne for this fishing trip, and it was all ruined because of the owner's irresponsible behavior. It was clear that fishing wasn't his priority, and he didn't care about the people who booked with him. It was a complete waste of time and money, and we were left with nothing but disappointment and frustration.Our fishing trip was a disaster, and we would not recommend this charter to anyone. The owner's lack of professionalism and disregard for his clients' time and money was unacceptable. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience that we would not like to repeat.

Worst service. Myself and a friend have both emailed without a reply. Called and spoke to Sandra who was rude and short, clearly had no interest in being on the phone and hung up before I could explain or ask any questions. Coming to Australia from the US and this tour looked great. Wont be spending any money with this company. Terrible attitude and service.

Another fantastic days fishing, Dave never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge about the river & the reef & the very best places & methods of catching great fish. If the fish are biting and you want a great fishing experience I strongly recommend go fishing with Dave.
