Tried autobarn Melville for the first time, was a little sceptical about trying a new mechanic, but was really impressed!Dave ( I believe) was really lovely to talk to and gave us all the information before dropping the car in for the service! Really accommodating and did a great job on the car.Family will be using them from now on for their vehicles aswell!Thankyou

I think of myself as a reasonable sort of person, but I'm really not impressed by the service I have received !Took my car in for a quote at the start of the year, because the rear passenger side door wasn't working and the door handle had actually fallen off.I was quoted around $250 parts and labour and they said they would get in touch when they could source a handle.Three months, and much chasing on my part later they finally managed to get hold of a replacement door handle, so I organised to go in and get it fitted. When I returned later that day to collect the car I was told several things, which they hadn't told me initially, or called to confirm throughout the day and before carrying out the work.1. Hyundai no longer sell dark grey handles, like mine, so they had put on a silver and light grey one - totally different to the other handles on the car.2. The rear door had been really hard to get open (I had mentioned at the start that I thought it might be the actuator, but they didn't seem to think this would be the problem.3. Because of the repeated issues getting the door to open, they had to remove some of the mechanism, so the internal latch for the lock was no longer functional.4. Because of the time it took to do the work, the price had risen steeply (I think it was over $300).I wasn't contacted once through the day to find out if I was okay with any of these circumstances.When I got home I tested the back door and it didn't open...at all. Over the next couple of weeks it would occasionally work, but more often than not it wouldn't.So I called again to organise getting the actuator replaced, which I had assumed would at least have been investigated upon the initial inspection of the car. I was told that I would be contacted once they had found a supplier for the actuator but this call never eventuated so I found myself calling them again after a couple of weeks to try and find out the situation. Dave was very accomodating with the service date change request, incredibly helpful and went into the details of the service and was very honest on which parts required replacement or servicing and which did not. Greatly appreciate the extra effort that went into cleaning the car. Thanks a lot Dave!

Took my car to get serviced recently and was assisted by Dave, absolutely so friendly and helpful! Went through everything really clearly and helped me to work within my budget while still staying safe on the road. When my car popped up this week to say the battery needed changing I immediately phoned these folk and spoke with Vaughn who was also incredibly helpful and so friendly. Won’t take my car anywhere else!! They’re trustworthy, genuine and the work was impeccable! Thank you!!

Annual Service. Very friendly and professional team who knew their trade. Reported back to me in non-mechanical talk and explained everything that may need to be done at my next service. Then to finish they cleaned the car very nicely and left me a bag of jellybeans. All this with a good price tag. Brilliant!
