Professional instructors and a great place to train in BJJ, where you feel welcome and can enjoy your time on the mats. I find Gracie Barra Hawkesbury a very supportive environment from students and Instructors.

A great place to train BJJ. Can not recommend them highly enough! Professor David, Coach Sinem & all the other coaches have been such a huge support to me & my family. Our son loves training here as do we, it’s become a second home. The atmosphere is so welcoming. There are no egos, just a great place to train & learn Jiu Jitsu!

I’m a massive fan of this gym. Professor and coaches are positive, encouraging and generally great with kids. The classes are mixed, loads of girls across all belt levels which is wonderful. Kids always come away laughing after a few games. We’ve noticed remarkable improvement in communication, behaviour (and sleep) in the kids since starting.Really recommend the team here for a supportive and fun community for you and your family.

I have been training in and around Sydney and the western suburbs for about 8 years now and i can honestly say that this place is one of the best gyms to train BJJ. The coaches and other students are very friendly and always helpful. The gym has a great friendly feel to it which can be hard to find in the martial arts world. Dave is a very experienced and caring coach as well as a genuine good person.

My two eldest boys (age 7 and 4) and I have been training at GB Hawkesbury for about 18 months. The changes I’ve seen in them have been great. Not only have they gained confidence but self awareness, discipline and respect. More so with my 4 year old who was diagnosed with Severe Anxiety and Selective Mutism about 2 years ago. In most situations he would withdraw and be physically incapable of communicating with people. We’ve found that in the time he has started doing BJJ, he’s had drastic improvements with his anxiety, both socially and in daycare. This is a testament to the approach professor Dave, Coach Sinem and the other coaches use when teaching kids. An added bonus is that the kids and I learn and practice a useful form of martial arts!

A great, fun and friendly environment for all ages who want to learn Jiu Jitsu. All coaches are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Been training at GB Hawkesbury for 3 years and look forward to many more years training there! :)

Both of my children have been coming here for a few months now and they love it. They both have grown so much and have more self-confidence since they started. The professors are great and keep the lessons fun and informative for the young ones. It’s a Great family environment and I highly recommend this place to everyone young and old.

Inclusive, friendly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club for all abilities, ages and gender. The club also runs anti-bullying classes for children which are a huge success.

Prof. David is one of the most friendly, dedicated and passionate people! He is brilliant Instructor, committed to spreading the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone amongst his entire community, no matter who they are! Congratulations on the amazing work Professor!
