The Braidwood Bakery
Great place to stop and have a fantastic pie. It has grown over the years and has toilets out the back. The front door is not wheelchair friendly, but I guess you get that in old country towns

Now this place knows how to do it!Generous sized pastries cooked to perfection. Must return and check out more yummy goods.Do not go to the pie shop in the other town starting with B!

Well deserving of the reviews - we make sure we stop here every year on the way to our annual beach holiday. Good coffee - long black was great. Pies rate highly as do the danishes!

Never have I ever been unable to finish I pie, until now. Two bites down, I had to retire. My partner and baby were also unable to consume it.I'll start with the chunky chicken (the only pie i have ever been unable to finish). This had to be the worst pie in my life. It tasted like sour, off, salty milk. Pastry was okay, but the contents within said Pastry have ruined my whole experience of this town. Hopefully, it was enjoyed more by a local scavenging bird.As I love pies so much, I bought two. The next one I got was their 'special' Satay Beef. I must say, satay was a stretch and also beef was a stretch. Due to my hunger, I was overly committed to finishing this bad boy. Halfway through, I had yet to have a piece of beef or any taste of a peanut. However, I pushed on through and received a delightful piece of beef in the last two bites.Overall, I would say their pies are overrated and disappointing. The staff were very lovely though. I won't visit again.

Braidwood Bakery is a staple for Canberran's and anyone else passing through Braidwood and my family has visited since I was a child more than 40 years ago. The pies have always been great and still are (although did change when ownership changed a few years back) but they are still delicious and the apple pies and rock-cakes are still amazing. The coffee is really nice here and my Mum always gets an egg sandwich which she enjoys. An old-school bakery with delicious offerings, great coffee and really yummy bread on the display near the main entry door. There are toilets out the back and a large fridge with heaps of cold drink options for those not wanting a hot drink.

Very nice bakery, delicious vegan options. We tried the soup of the day, it was pumpkin and it was absolutely delicious, dairy free as pumpkin soup should always be. We also tried the vegetable pie and the vegan sausage roll. Pie crust and filling are very nice, sausage roll I can say it's the best I've tried. Coffee is also very nice. Service is good and staff is very friendly and helpful, when we asked about dairy in the food, she promptly went to confirm if he food was really dairy free. This kind of service you don't find everywhere. Will definitely come back.

Worst experience ever. I couldn't swallow it because of the smell of flour. An awful experience I ever had in Australia.
