Best steak and cheese pie, let alone best pie I’ve had ever. Been on a hunt for the best pies around Victoria and never have I been so satisfied with this cake store that serves the most underrated pies. Heard their sandwiches are just as good.Pastry casing had a nice toast but still able to hold that piping hot generous golden treasure of steak. The steak itself was not overcooked which I find with many steak pies, and they were cut in smaller chunks which had a taste similar to your mince pies. Perfect filling. The pastry top was super flaky too which is a big win for a pastry lover like me who is always looking for texture. A textbook perfect pie for me - except on a bigger scale. $12 for a huge pie, and my partner and I were wanting to go for another pie (chicken leek mushroom) despite being full in the early morning.Got a soy flat white, using Supreme Coffee beans, super tasty and velvety too!Gonna get myself one of their aesthetic cake slices next time - heard they taste as heavenly as it looks!Food: 5/5Value: 5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Service: 5/5

Ordered our wedding cake from here and it was such a hit! I had guests coming up to me all night asking where the cake was from, and it looked so gorgeous to boot! The flavour was so good that most guests actually ate and loved it, which never happens at weddings. So thrilled that we picked Mabel’s

Really friendly staff and great service. Today I had the Ruben sandwich which was just amazing. There was no skimping on filling (quite the opposite), and it tasted soooooo good. Great work Mabels team….I’ll be back for more!

Small and cosy cafe in Hawksburn village.They have a variety of cafe food and dessert. I had bacon egg&cheese with flat white.The burger bun is soft and bacon is nice crispy cooked. Coffee is good as well.I recommend here if you are living near by.

Great little spot in Hawksburn village and doesn’t get hit by the hot sun in the morning, like the other side of street.I had a long black coffee to test out how good the coffee really is (no hiding behind milk) and I’ll be a repeat customer.Perfect coffee and I couldn’t resist the coconut passion fruit cake.Update - inside seating comfortable and some quiet tables down the back. Easy simple breakfast menu….followed by a slice of cake!

Gotta love the spread at the new bakery AND deli kid on the block - @mabel.hawksburn⠀We love welcoming new cafes to our neighbourhood! So far we have only tried their coffee and one of their chocolate pastries and we love them both. ⠀⠀I forgot the name of the chocolate pastry, but it was so delicious and oozing with chocolatey goodness that I conveniently forgot.... I may forget the name of a pastry but I’ll never forget how it made me feel ♥️♥️♥️⠀⠀They also serve freshly baked pies and falafels for lunch if you are keen for more savoury options. Very excited to pop by and try more soon.

Disappointing visit. person on register was quite aloof. First coffee was only warm and when meal arrived bacon was too crispy and bacon and eggs again just warm. Offered feedback on leaving but the eftpos machine was tapped to remind me to pay as if to say ‘just pay and go’. Need to remember we are paying customers and it wasn’t cheap!
