We had some great chicken and chips. The staff were friendly and efficient.The salads tasted fresh and they have a good selection too.I noticed a staff member counting frozen nuggets with their bare hands and then chucking them in the deep fryer. I assumed that they should use gloves or thongs instead

The chips here come in very generous serving sizes, they are wonderfully crunchy and extremely tasty.Chicken Chef probably serves up the best chips anywhere in Adelaide.Such an institution. Their servings are so generous I wonder why anyone would need anything larger than a medium

Moving to Adelaide we couldn't wait to visit this Award winning chip shop. Not impressed, they have a particular taste, however not worthy of Best Chip. So many dregs in half a large bag is not impressive. I fed the seagulls near our home, they thoroughly enjoyed your chips.

Went here a couple weeks ago for lunch to get supposedly “SA’s best chips”.Needless to say it was so disappointing, chips were soggy as and undercooked. KFC make better chips on a bad day.

Banana fritter was above average. Good tasting chips for a takeaway shop, lots of small chips/battered crumbs in the bag though.Good amount of seasoning on the chips today, not too salty.The hot chicken roll is a bit heavy on the seasoning, and you should probably eat with a salad to cut through.Overall, worthwhile trying considering they have been voted best chips in Australia, and the chips serving is generous.

I had heard quite a bit about this place so perhaps my expectations were a little higher than they should have been. The one upside is the servings are huge so if you have an appetite, you’ll be a happy eater. The store was also very clean and well presented and although the staff were busy, they were friendly. For a lover or crispy well cooked chips I was a little disappointed with. Some were even quite soggy. The chicken was nice but not the greatest I’ve had. So above all I would still recommend but I did find it quite average so would not be in a hurry to head back. Try it though, it might be for you.

Superb service & quick turn around for a walk in order. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with salad &chips. Huge serving & the 1/4 was more like a 1/2 ( bonus) .If you're in the area get in there for an awesome feed❤️❤️

Chicken Chef is well know for their Amazing chips?I beg to differ ……..Absolutely Disgusting!!! Just look at the photo I have attached they were hard crunchy and tasted old and under cooked!!!To top it off the chicken was dry!!!!!!!!!And the salads were horrible!!!!!!!Definitely won’t be going back!!!I could have got this experience at any chicken shop!!!
