Neonatal Kitten Rescue Hobart

I adopted a kitten 12 months ago from NKRH and was thoroughly impressed with the care given to all kittens. I was recommended to adopt through this organisation though a friend and the experience did not disappoint.

Had the best experience with this loving, tireless group of people. They truly go above and beyond when taking care of their kittens, including post adoption advice and help. My cats are so friendly and well adjusted, thanks NKRH!

Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience with Neonatal kitten rescue :(I sent in an application for a kitten last year and I sent a follow up text to see how my application was going. The person texting me was very blunt and couldn’t give me an actual reason to why my application was denied, she said “we only adopt to indoor homes” but I told her that it it isn’t an issue to have an inside cat and I never heard back from them. The overall experience was really blunt and disappointing

Professional and extremely helpful. Their care doesn't end after adoption, they support their kittens to help them integrate into their new families. Help is just a call away. The kittens are so well socialised and loving, will fit into any home. We adore our new family member.

These people are awesome!The medical care, effort and love they give to hungry and sick kittens - (orphaned, stray and unwanted) is truly inspiring.And don't be mislead, they're the only genuinely 'no kill' kitten rescue in Southern Tas.

The staff were lovely, they clearly care about the kittens and it shows with all the good work they are doing. We received a follow-up to see how our kitten was settling in to our home. We then received all vet and registration information.

My two cats would never have made it without neonatal kitten rescue. The time and effort they put into saving every kitten that comes into their care is amazing. The kittens turn out to be the most friendly and loving cats.

We came to NKRH seeking help for our existing anxious and shy boy cat adopted from Ten Lives. We were put in touch with an expert on the issue and received excellent and personalised guidance throughout the entire decision making process. In the end we jointly chose an excellent match - another male kitten, this time from NKRH. Best decision we ever made as he is the most loving, affectionate, fun-loving, human-oriented cat I've ever known. Thank you to all the volunteers at NKRH who give so selflessly their time and love saving vulnerable kittens and transforming them into human-loving bundles of joy.
