Fascinating!!!! So much to see in the old rooms. Don't know where to look.Pity we can't buy some of the 'stuff'.Annabell and Jim are true local characters. Loved our visit. Great history.

I had not realised in all the vists I have made for coffee and a cookie on weekends, that Henry Jones was open evenings and serves an excellent meal.When I booked us in I told them to expect 8 to 12 people. They laid on a special evening for us. Looks as if they took on extra staff for the evening. 19 of us turned up. I had over-allowed for dropouts (very few, all with perfectly good reasons) and I had not counted in some partners.With the greatest of courtesy and efficiency they relaid the tables and coped with the extra orders. The entrees were superb. the little wait for the mains course was well worth while. I did not have one of the desserts but they looked good and those who partook reported thm very good indeed.This place must be the best kept secret in the Great Southern. We were served the finest food many of us have eaten in a long while, accompanied by excellent wine. The service was friendly. The decor is fun.Did I mention the food was really good?Highly recommended!

Annabel and Jim are the best hosts anyone could wish for! From the moment I arrived I felt welcome.I had a great stay, dinner was very tasty, and breakfast was perfect! The wine, oh my! I left with a few bottles in tow.The room was incredibly quaint. I’ll definitely be back.

If you have the time to slow down for a different experience this place is enchanting to stop at. Surrounded by tasteful antique and rustic items there is a lot of love here from the couple running this place, meals done with care and an interest in conversation.

My friend and i called in on the way home from the stirlings. Delightful owner made us a coffee. The buildings were to be demolished but were saved by the local family owners. A piece of local history saved. Hopefully we will get a universal basic income soon and more people will move into this lovely town.
