Honestly our favorite place to eat. Amazing Yakiniku meats, tempura is spot on and sashimi is always fresh. Wakana salad is delicious too! Good value for money and unpretentious - perfect place to enjoy a casual Japanese meal. The owner & staff have always been amazing - could not be more thankful to have such delicious food and lovely people providing Yakiniku in artarmon.

Reasonable price. Good quality meat. Convenient location. We love the beef ribs. The beef tongue is with shallot and salt sauce. It tasted good but I personally prefer only lemon and salt better. Sashimi is fresh and delicious. The restaurant does not have much interior design but I looks clean and tidy when we first got in. However, we saw a small cockroach passing through our table at the end of our dinner. Luckily there’s no food on the table but it still made me feel a bit disgusted. Hope they pay more attention on the hygiene.Only cash accepted. Please be aware of that and remember to bring enough cash.

One of the OGs of Yakiniku in Sydney! The owner continues to be hands on and you will see him preparing dishes at the front of the shop and directing or telling his staff off in true old school Japanese style! Restaurant is packed today on a Sunday compared to the restaurant next door which was empty! People don’t come here for the service or ambience!! But the food quality is definitely on par with the pricing. However what is disappointing and annoying is they this place is still “cash only” even when it is 2022 and even the local CBA bank has closed down! Please do the right thing and update your processes! We want this place to still be around in 20yrs time!

This is one of the original Yakiniku restaurants in Sydney and is very casual. I came here many years ago and decided to come again. The produce used are fresh and the kaki fry was cooked well. The Japanese owner has been around for more than 20 years and has always had his own following. This restaurant doesn't focus much about service or ambience, but casual dining. I didn't get to try this time, but traditionally the Wagyu curry has been popular. Not much preparation in the sauces or flavours, compared to the restaurants with marinated meat outside. However things were clean and fresh. Pricing was also acceptable.

Sweet home style Japanese BBQ with reasonable price and authentic Japanese dishes. Highlight were teriyaki chicken, wagyu sashimi, beef tataki, sashimi was very fresh and home made curry rice was tasty!May visit again in the future

The quality of the food is okay, and the lady who served us is also very nice. But as you can see from other's review, the boss is rude. Even worse, he is not only rude but dishonest! He overcharged me and became angry and aggressive after being pointed it out. When I came back home, I found the price is not in align with the menu! I understand the price of the raw material has been increased, but you need to update your menu!

A very good Japanese restaurant. Dinning experience isn't fancy but down to earth. Waiter are very friendly, foods are well prepared, and serving size are bigger than expected. I would recommend pork fry wagyu curry if you just need something to fill your self up.

Unassuming Japanese restaurant where the food does the talking. The sushi is always fresh and the meal is served with a miso soup, and some surprise condiments. Had the bento box here several times and every single element was freshly made. The service is always friendly and the boss cracks a smile if he is not swamped with orders. Definitely one for those who appreciate good from a chef who prides himself on delivering the same!

Very family style Japanese restaurant, my favourite is their ox tongue and curry rice. The ox tongue is thick cut and chewy. The wagyu curry is spicy with quite a bit of beef, it comes in a pot and I really liked it that way. The rice is also cooked really well.Dumplings were also big and fried well.I wish they would note the weight of the meat per plate, and that the ventilation could be abit better. Otherwise it is definitely a place to go.

A no frills yakiniku restaurant in the hear of Artarmon. The feeling you get as you walk in is that the restaurant focuses on the quality of the ingredients rather than a fancy shop fitout. Meats offered are typically what you would find at a yakiniku with various cuts of Wagyu beef, some pork and chicken and seafood. The key is that the meat doesn't come out frozen like other yakiniku places meaning that the ingredients are freshly prepared. My go to is definitely the beef tongue as it is cut thick and is the only way they should be served to appreciate the full texture of the tongue. The portioning here is sufficient and I'd say if you spend $40-$50 pp, you won't go home hungry!
