Simpson Falls
Lovely walk, toilets and water at the carpark, lovely picnic area. Path is well looked after. We continued after the falls and joined the fire trails for a run but you could stop at the falls. Hilly but we saw lots of kids.

I was looking for a 30-60 minute easy moderate hike, and this one was nice and relaxing. Once you reach the end where the bridge and falls are, I was able to sit down with this view and read for a while. There are a lot of kids that pass through here so it's not super quiet, but it was perfect for a not too challenging hike by myself.

After 2 days of rain there was a small amount of water flowing over the rocks but not gushing like you would expect. Best to visit after heavy rain. The walk took about 15 mins from the carpark up a hill so got us puffing. Picnic area is really spacious. Overall enjoyed the bush experience so close to the city.

Simpson Falls
Lovely picnic area and walk up the stream to Simpson Falls. The main picnic area is great for bbqs, families, and even casual sport, and the main walk up the stream has dragonflies and butterflies. The walk is only 650 metres to the main falls and is uphill on the way. Can optionally continue to further up Mt Cootha.

Almost exactly 1 year ago (by chance) I walked down to Simpson Falls with my granddaughter and little water then and now. Fairly steep tracks at points but near the falls is a solid steel structure with see through plastic mesh to walk over. Impressive boulders and pools of water even without much flowing water. Pleasant 1km round trip.

Great walk, and scenery, the tall trees in the picnic area makes it a great start to the walk, then following he stream up to the waterfall is walk worth doing

The walk up to the falls is quiet through a forest, which is not dense. The climb up is relatively easy.Unfortunately, on the day that we visited (early June), the water fall was all dried up. So I suggest going when there has been a bit of rain!Overall, it was a very relaxing walk. There are a number of picnic areas as well.Ample free parking available. There are many walking tracks at Mount Coot-Tha. Although there are many signages displayed as well as maps along the way, they can be rather confusing!!

Really nice track! Definitely go after some rain because then you'll see a spectacular waterfall and water all through the side of the track. You can make it a longer walk by doing a larger track. Not too bad for dogs but there are a lot of stairs and rocks a bit further up the track. My dachshund @tokenofl0ve did really well on the 5k track!
