Had the roti, the sizzling Mongolian beef and the mama mi goreng. Everything was absolutely delicious plus generous servings and great service. Usually get takeaway but really enjoyed dining in. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was nice....however we were told they didn't have enough Sizzle plates due a the large booking coming after us (we were there first) so we were asked if we would have bowls instead. It wasn't the same experience as the sauce didn't have the nice thickness to it. Then we were charged $20 corkage and we opened our own bottle of wine so it must of been the ice bucket that cost so much. Should have let the corkage slide because we only got 1 Sizzle plate out of 5.

Thankgoodness we finally found where Tony went!!!! It was worth the 20minute drive..Yay to eating his amazing flakey Roti with satay & curry sauces, Chicken Satay sticks crispy on the outside but supa moist, then onto the huge creamiest flavoursome Laksa, shared with tasty Yangzhoy fried rice, the only little disappointment was the Licheon Kawaii, I was hoping & expecting for sauce to be covering it, pork was crispy but where was rhe deep sauce? We definitely will be back tho, BYO a positive

Tony is back, originally from Little Malaya at Coolangatta, all the favourites are there from Captain Chicken, Sultans Lamb, soft Shell Crab Curry and Roti with his legendary sauce.

Tony, his family and crew run what is considered by many to be the best Mamak style Asian restaurant in the region.I agree with them.As an example, tonight, two of us had fresh Roti, and mains of Mallacan beef curry, and Ipoh beef curry with steamed rice.It looked, smelled and tasted delicious, beautiful presentation and super nice service by really friendly people who enjoy seeing their customers having a great time. The serves are huge, the ingredients fresh as, and we couldn't finish it all so they asked if we'd like to pack it up in take away containers. You bet we did!All this, and the bill was only $57.It's semi licensed, as in you can buy beer and wine, and your welcome to bring your own wine which they don't mind putting in an ice bucket for you.$2 corkage which is more than fair.LUCKY MAMA!Love it.

Just visited Lucky Mama Restaurant on the 6th Jan,we had a booking for 715pm,after reading the Website it said that it was opened until 9pm,I must say I was disappointed when I tried to order a second dish at 820pm and was told by the young waitress that they would be taking no more orders,I walked up to the counter and spoke to a young guy that appeared to be manager or owner who said this is Tugun and we always normally close around 730pm for eat in and around 8pm for take away, very odd when on line it says 9pm and we are in the middle of the busiest time of the year he proceeded to tell me the Chef lives 1 hr away .The food was quite nice but a large part of eating out is the experience and closing the kitchen to guests dining in that early on a Friday night is simply disappointing.I am involved in property development in the area and over the last 6 or so years have seen the area progressing like Palm Beach but unfortunately not in the case of Lucky Mama.Maybe a good idea for the owners who have quite good food to look at somewhere like Georges at Coolangatta to work on the customer experience and stay open a little later than 8pm.
