I recently had an unfortunate experience with Joy Zhang of Buxton Ashburton, which has left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with their services. I feel compelled to share my experience to ensure others are aware of the issues I encountered.From the outset, I had placed a great deal of trust in Joy Zhang, as she was the first agent I contacted when I considered selling my property. However, my trust quickly eroded due to several significant concerns:Misleading Information: Joy Zhang failed to adequately explain the legal rights of my tenants to stay until the end of their lease. Instead, she suggested selling the property under a vacated condition, without fully disclosing the associated risks. This lack of transparency put me in a difficult position and caused unnecessary stress.Refusal to Release Authority: Despite my explicit request to discharge the authority for the sale of my property, Joy Zhang has stubbornly refused to do so. She even went as far as to threaten me with waiting until the agreement finishes or paying double commission, leaving me feeling coerced and trapped in an undesirable situation.Lack of Professionalism: The conduct displayed by Joy Zhang during our interactions was unprofessional and unethical. She failed to provide the necessary disclosures, as evidenced by our chat history, and attempted to mislead me by stating that the form I signed was not an official document. Such behavior is inexcusable and completely undermines the trust that should exist between a client and a real estate agent.Given these unfortunate circumstances, I have decided to lodge a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria to address these concerns. It is my hope that appropriate action will be taken to rectify this situation and prevent others from falling victim to similar practices.I strongly advise anyone considering engaging the services of Buxton to exercise caution and thoroughly research their options. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them as a reliable and trustworthy real estate agent.Please think twice before entrusting your property sale to Buxton Ashburton and explore other reputable agencies in the area.
