Booked in a VW Touareg for a pre purchase inspection just to see if the car was mechanically sound during lockdown as I could not see it. The car got a good bill of health from these guys but when I got the car I have found.- HVAC unit not working- Injector Seals leaking- Oil leak from drain plug- Split CV boot- Glow plug is out- Both thermostats were brokenThey told me they did a electronics scan but they obviously didn't. About 10 minutes of looking around this car you would find these issues. Unfortunately all it looks like they did is just drive around the block. Totally not worth the $120 cost.

The mechanic, Heng, gave an estimate of 1.5 hrs for the service and, surprisingly, kept to his word. Great service and it doesn't cost the earth.

These guys are the most fair dinkum mechanics in the area, probably the world. Always contact before performing any unexpected repairs, explain in layman’s terms what needs doing band why and offer options. Have taken cars there for several years and have never once had reason to doubt their honesty in any way.

Heng is by far the most reliable Mechanic I’ve ever experienced. He’s reliable, honest, quick/accessible , and very fairly priced.I’ve moved 25 mins away from Oatley and still use his services. Couldn’t recommend Oatley Auto Centre enough.

Going there for pink slip, car only drived 10000 K, after they inspect , they said all 4 tyers needs to be replaced, it can't pass safety check. I was shocked that only 10000k car needs to replace 4 tyers, so I drived car to another shop, they did pink slip straight away without mention anything. This happens to me 2nd time, first time this guy ask to change 4 tyers, since that cars is bit old, I say fine do it, it's ridiculous for nearly new car to change tyre, obviously those guys like to rip customers off. Be aware!!!
