Drakes Samford

It's our local supermarket and an excellent facility, except of course the parking lot which has huge potholes and is very tight to manoeuvre in, out and around in.

Great grocery store, old school with full uniforms and professional staff and great selection of anything you could need.

Great store, carries just about everything you could desire. Veggies are fresh as, but a little expensive. Good price on cakes and some deserts. Meat prices vary, but when on special very good buying. Staff are all super friendly and efficient, except for a middle aged grumble bum woman. Recommended rather than burn expensive fuel to go to Ferny Grove or Keperra.

It's usually good and I respect Drakes as a retail brand ; some long weekends, deli and fruit/veggie section might not be as fresh

Great store bought the best Australian Tiger prawns I've tasted in a long time

Unfortunately we had a dissatisfactory experience at Drakes Samford today that will affect our future visits to an otherwise regularly excellent store. We have occasionally experienced sour service from elderly staff at this store, but today was downright rude. My partner jumbled their words when asking for cigarettes and was met with a glare and raised hands from the woman behind the counter. Having managed retail stores in the past myself and being a human with feelings, I cannot help but recognise that this behaviour is entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. We love coming to this store for the excellent range, pricing and smiling friendly service from most of the excellent staff. This is what we have come to expect from Drakes Samford, and in the tough times all Aussies are feeling right now - even moreso.
