So happy that Sue at the information centre recommended this tour to us or we would have missed it. They're currently running tours once a day at 1pm during dry weather (so most of the time!). Allow at least 3 hours for the experience. My partner and I were there for about 3 and a half. Robert has some fantastic stories and great knowledge of the area and farming. Their collection has something for everyone and is quite unique. During the tour you'll also have a break for some homemade scones made by Therese that are delicious! They're both lovely and up for a chat. I highly recommend visiting their farm to anyone passing through lightning ridge.

What an amazing experience we had at Just Rustic. The owners are so friendly and welcoming with great knowledge of the local area and many stories to tell. Was a welcome get away from the Opal mines that Lightning Ridge is famous for.

Lovely couple looked after us with knowledge and the best scones ever. It's a credit to them for setting up Just Rustic. We will be back again to see it again. Thank you very much.

Cold the day we went so difficult to hear speaker talking about history of the place due to rain on the tin roof. Lots of interesting artefacts including Vietnam war stuff. Lots of machinery and engines to keep the boys entertained

Our visit to Just Rustic was the best tour in the Lightning Ridge area. Robert if an Aussie asset as is his fabulous museum collection. Therese’s scones and cuppa, which were included in the tour, can’t be missed. We thank the family for their welcome and contribution to our education and entertainment.

We were recommended this museum by a friend, and we were so glad we went. Robert Turnbull and his wife are warm and honest hosts. Every fibre in their body loves the farm and that shows. Book in advance and they'll take the time (about 2-3 hours) to tell you everything about the 4 generations that have worked this farm, including years of floods and devastating droughts. Robert and his wife are active in charities that support farmers financially and mentally during these dry years. You need the guided the tour through the museum to understand what you're looking at, and many of the machines and artefacts come to live with Robert's stories. The morning tea with home-made scones were a highlight thanks the lovely wife. During morning tea, Robert brought some of us to tears when he recited some of his poems - another highlight. And let's not forget the lesson in water divining - that was a highlight too!

Wasn't offered this activity at the Information Centre and would have missed out except that we asked about it. A fabulous afternoon with a dinky di farmer of 4 generations who was extremely knowledgeable. Water diving was fun. The scones were amazing while listening to poems written by Cod. His collection of memorabilia was fantastic to look at but the stories he had about many of the items were fascinating. Been to many museums around the world but learnt so much. This is a must to see. Support our farmers. We need them.
