North Canberra Family Practice - Local Canberra Doctors

I was a visitor to the Canberra area and need some reasonably urgent medical attention. The practice gave me an appointment on the same day that I rang. Doctor Bandara was very thorough and arranged a ultra sound and blood test within an hour of my visit. The staff member (lady), who did the blood test was very thorough and friendly.

I would gladly rate this medical center 10/10 for its exceptional service and highly experienced doctors. The welcoming atmosphere and the expertise of the staff made my visit truly remarkable. I would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Bandara for his outstanding care.

Always helpful reception staff and the patient parking is extremely appreciated as it’s terrible trying to get a park anywhere nearby. My particular doctor is caring and very thorough and I feel fortunate to have her looking after my family’s health needs.Staff get back to you with results in a timely manner and are not merely telephone receptionists. They also have knowledge of various patient needs and are good at assessing what a patients best options are regarding scripts, appointments etc.If I had one “ complaint” it would be that you often have to wait a long time on the phone before you can “get through” , as it is a very busy practice. Perhaps an extra phone line might help?

Absolutely lovely. Very easy to deal with. Very clean. Dr Enas is absolutely lovely. Finding a good Dr when you move to a different place can be stressful especially when you have had a wonderful healthcare team in your previous location. I am very happy with my new practice.

I highly recommend the North Canberra Family Practice, but I'm not going to share my doctor's name. Why would I want her patient list to grow even longer!? She's a wonderful GP (the best I've ever had) - dedicated, compassionate, skilled and a brilliant communicator; as long as she stays at the practice, I will keep going. I'd add that, on the rare occasion that she has not been available, I've found the other doctors and nursing staff to be very responsive, and the staff on reception are always very helpful.

Appointment was for a flu-vacc which meant a compulsory review by a doctor - I eventually was seen by the doctor 30 minutes late. The review took 1 minute and the injection by the Nurses another 2 minutes. Surely the review could be done by the Nurses - I would have been completed in about 5 minutes (not 35 minutes!!! as I was this morning). Bedside Manner" of both doctor and nurses was EXCELLENT as always at NCFP."

Nurses were very nice and friendly.Doctor was very good.However , the girl at reception did not seemed very welcome by the way she spoke to customer. She needs to do extensive Customer Service course.

As I write this review I am sat in the waiting room over an hour later than my scheduled appointment time, and I arrived 10 minutes early. It’s not as if it’s even bulk-billed, I have to pay for waiting! It’s not acceptable that doctors feel it is ok to keep people waiting this long. I have better things to do with my time.Updated to 3 stars as the dr & nurses were good once I finally got in, but still too long a wait.

After giving my old doctor many chances for many issues always ending in disappointment, my work recommended this practice after I had an injury from a car accident and it was the silver lining on a bad situation. This practice and Dr Enas are great and I left very happy. Definitely coming back. Thank you so much.

My doctor Elizabeth has been looking after me for over 40 years. She has always been very professional, knowledgeable, caring and kind. I am so grateful for her in my life. It gives me confidence whenever I need medical advice.
