St Mary MacKillop College

The schooling journey at MacKillop for me was absolutely magical, met so many lifelong friends and gave me a push into my dream course for UNI in the business industry. The resources you get here are useful and helpful for any student.

Mackillop is known as a safe and welcoming school.This is not true, with teachers afraid to discipline the students, xenophobic, racist and homphobic students everywhere. I wouldn't call that safe and/or welcoming.Teachers are marketed as kind and happy to help. This is also not true, with the strict and unapproachable teachers employed, especially within the maths faculty. There are a handful of teachers present which I personally comfortable approaching and asking for help.The friendships I have made here make the school somewhat enjoyable to attend. The principle, Michael Lee. Is absolutely phenomenal.In conclusion, Mackillop's reputation is deceiving. The teachers are mean and unapproachable, the stress of the small time allotted for assignments make life more annoying than required and it isn't really as safe and welcoming as marketed.

My kids love it here - heaps of opportunities, dedicated teachers, and (especially at this campus) great facilities.

Pretty cool school with nice facilities, just too many strict teachers compared to other schools although it is a private school.

I love MacKillop it is a great school. I have two children that go to this school with two totally different personalities, Mackillop has given both my children the support and the skills to be more confident and excel academically. Both my children have found the staff very supportive and willing to give up their time to help.

in my first year it was kind of a tough time for me since i was all alone in this big big school. its a pretty good school at times, but there are a few flaws. like in my first year, the teachers handed out a against gay marriage folder to all the kids. they always say to us be yourself

My sons both HATED this school. DO NOT ASSUME because you are paying private fees you are getting anything 'more' at this school than you would in the public school system. Aside from the uniform, he only thing we got 'more' of at this school was a heavy dose of Catholic bigotry and hypocrisy, with zero Christian care from teachers who revelled in being on a power trip - detentions issued for petty infringements, rigid, strict, patronising. 'Do as I say' culture - Yes

Good school that provides heaps of opportunity for students and prioritises students learning and wellbeing. Teachers were able to help me with my assessment load when I had a lot going on in sport and life outside of school. Very good experiences

It's a pretty decent school, the teachers are nice and facilities are being renovated, only issue i have is with the schools Internet and with the classrooms. the kitchens, art rooms etc are newly renovated and really good facilities but the general classrooms are ancient and depressing to be in pity that's where you spend most of your time. The schools Internet is literal garbage, Telstra could provide a better Internet connection than what the school is currently using.
