Didn’t change my oil when I took it in for a first time learners service. Won’t be coming back. it’s only been 2000ks and the bikes oil level is lower than when I took it in after putting 3000ks on it was really bummed considering I heard trooper Lus was reliable.

Feel like i have the 'full' experience at this point, see below:- Purchased a couple of new bikes (R3 in 2016, R6 in 2018);- By coincidence, insurance company ran a recent insurance job for my non-Yamaha bike (Triumph Street Triple) through TL;- Have been in for multiple service runs on bikes Yamaha and non-Yamaha; and- Bought accessories through the upstairs department.For purchasing - not pushy, incredibly knowledgeable, happy to work with you / your expectations / additions to the bike, etc. I've had some issues with new bikes (like bolts coming loose) but this is to be expected in new builds. The guys obviously fixed ASAP and free of charge. Very supportive. Haven't purchased here for a few years but assuming same service / culture.For insurance work - upfront, clear communication. Parts were delayed thanks to COVID / supply chain issues. Worked with me to get back on the road while I waited for cosmetic parts to come in. Made a bad situation (being without my bike thanks to a 3rd party's damage!) better.For service - always clear with the work they've done / need to do. Sometimes need to add fixes / replace parts but never in isolation, always in consultation.For accessories - wish they had a wider range but understand the limitations of season-dependant stock on hand, space in store and overall ability to carry a tonne of variety within a dealership. Typically I'd head online for most stuff here but TL is a decent alternative for key pieces (jackets, helmets, etc).Overall, I'd highly recommend Trooper Lu's.

During July-Aug 2022 I purchased a New MT07 LAMS 2022 Cyan Bike. Delivery dates were naturally unclear thanks to COVID / supply chain issues. I was pleasantly surprised it was ready a little earlier then the end of the month expectation set. This is my third Yamaha machine in 10 years.I have purchased a new Stryker Cruiser from Trooper Lu's in the past so knew I would be looked after.They are not pushy and are proactive in facilitating the contract, finance and insurance work.The bike was purchased on the strength of the Dealers and Manufactures Brand and positive previous experiences. Very happy! I cannot believe now light these bikes feel (and for a 100kg rider this machine has plenty to make my commute fun!). Also the Exhaust upgrade was totally worth it, I cannot believe I doubted that for a moment.

I purchased a Dirt bike privately and the engine seized pretty much 1 hour after owning it. I took the dirt bike to this place for a diagnostic which went from a major service to a complete engine rebuild. Initially super helpful and easy to deal with. Then apparently an apprentice started my bike fresh engine rebuild no oil not knowing there wasn’t any oil. Completely destroyed the brand new engine I just paid for. Got a call and got Told im gonna need a new engine and I’m gonna need to pay for it. Idk how that’s fair dinkum that’s not fair dinkium, after some back and forth they offered to give me a discount on the labour for the second engine build but I would still need to front the cost for the new parts. Absolutely a joke.
